    Can't access @ work, but I read a book (either Fire and Fear or Bad Intentions) where they talked about this. Duran was one of Tyson's favorite fighters, and Tyson heard that Duran was too broke for a ticket for the Spinks fight, so Tyson made sure that Duran had a good seat for the fight.

    There were also rumors that Tyson was going to help Duran pay his mortgage because his house was going to get taken away or something. This was in the mid to late 90s I believe, before Tyson filed for bankruptcy.

    Regardless what people say about Mike,he was very generous,He paid off Buchanans whole house.countless charities.part of the reason he's broke is his generousity

    Duran had this affect on other macho, tough guys.

    Duran is the only man who Hagler shook by the hand BEFORE they fought. Tough guys just loved him. I think it's because they knew - whatever they had been through was basically nothing. This guy reached the very top by way of ****.
