Tyson as a commentator.

He'd make a great commentator, his popularity and boxing knowledge is such that he'd act as a side attraction for the event.

 

I would like it they should at least give him a chance. As for people complaining about his voice I haven't heard people complain about Freddie Roach commentate

 

Mike's done guest commentary on Showtime before, see Pettway/Brown -- wasn't very good tbh, no analysis or anything, just him getting amped up watching the fight.

Still happy to trade Mike for RJJ's old ass country voice though.

 

He kept shouting 'break' when they got into clinches.

he has no attention span to sit through a 4 hour boxing card.
he has no history of responsibility to show he can be a part of a team and show up for meetings, prefight info gathering in the weeks prior ect....its far more involved than just showing up and putting on a head set and talking....Tyson would be a disaster

and i dont think a yearly pay check is gonna make him show up 24 times a year for shows..... i hear roy doesnt make a million a year for his job, seems like it was 300-500 grand..... thats not much compared to when they were making 10 million a fight and in tysons case, sometimes 30 million

 

Tyson worked as a commentator for Hopkins-Mercado 2.

 

Cant be any more retared than the things lewis and foreman have come out with during commentary

Lennox was a beautiful commenator.. his voice puts me to sleep all the time.. lennox is the last undisputed world champion and destroyed all your heroes.. and he avenged both his defeats despite the corruption of Don King....... HBO fired Lennox because they can't stand the fact he was a Brit/Canadian/Jamician (the axis of evil for HBO) I wonder why they didn't fire Merchant???? Or Lampley??? Lennox is much smarter than Lampley and Merchant.. who both wanted him fired because they were slowly becoming beta males next to Lewis... will they fire Tyson too if he steps out of line?

Impregnable is not a word commonly used to promote themselves.

and I cant spell the other word, impetuous...lol, about his style. Floyd aint smart enough to use those words.

He'd be very good, but I feel he has had enough of the boxing business. He's said so numerous times himself.

 

Love Mike but i'd pass, YES Tyson defo know's his **** & knowledge of boxing is vast but his voice & the way he talks is sometimes hard to understand = Bad for TV.

That said... He is the most recognizable figure this sport has produced in in decades so.
