Tyson knows a lot, and if he has mind right (a big IF) could be an excellent trainer.

I think he would do better as a boxing commentator. Of course he needs to have a bit of vocal and speech coaching to make him sound better on air.

He's a true boxing geek, and he'd be great as a broadcaster.

    Ths story sound's like BS.

There are plenty of way's Tyson could make a packet.

If he wanted to be a serious trainner he could open his own gym anytime and it would be huge!

Are we supposed to believe that Tyson need's to go to Freddy Roach for a job?

Well, for starters, the media attention surrounding the place (mainly to follow a controversial figure who transcends the average boxing fan) would swell to gigantic proportions on a DAILY BASIS, something that Roach is well too familiar with. And one thing Roach learned after dealing with Murad Muhammad and later on after Pacquiao's first fight with Morales, excessive media attention which is out of his control can only serve a distraction to his fighters.

And so you know, Roach already has a former heavyweight champ serving as his new training apprentice: Michael Moorer. Double M stepped in for Roach when Pacquiao was in the Filipinotown section of L.A. last Saturday to receive an award from the Mayor.

But on face value alone, I think Tyson could make a good trainer someday. When he was coming up under Cus D'Amato, Tyson studied old tapes of Joe Louis, Ali, Archie Moore and Jack Dempsey among others. The man was not only a historian but a student of the game. Love him or hate him, I always respected Mike for that. He has a passion for the sport that hasn't left him even though the fast cars, women, and $$$ have sailed by long ago.

Put him on an HBO panel... I'll take his crazy talk over Kellerman's any day of the week. That'd be one hilariously awkward combo!
    "Hey! Hey there, Lennox."
    "Heeelloooooooo."
"Hey! We've got a matchup tonight between Paul Williams, whose style is impetuous vs. Winky Wright, who's defense is impeccable. Reminds me of me. Lennox?"
    "Definitely."

Because if he let him help. 60% of the Wild Card trainees will be hospitalized from brutality.

I actually like Roach and that he tells us what is happening. But yeah, the **** he said about Hopkins and Hoya after he trained them is uncool in my opinion. I don't know, I know he was just their trainer, but I think he breaks bonds of trust very often. There should be a bit more confidentiality in boxer/trainer relationships.

Why doesn't Tyson just open his own gym and hire a trainer that might be very good but on his way up? I'm sure with a name like his he could secure a loan.

All Tyson has to do to earn money, is to get paid to make appearences at certain clubs. Paris Hilton gets paid big money to do that, and I'm sure Tyson's star is just as bright as hers. I would also love to see him get with a Showtime or HBO, he would be alot better than Lewis, thats for sure.
