Tyson doesn't want a penny to fight Jones jr.

He is supposedly making a killing in the weed market.

 

Yeah the Tysonranch apparently makes about 500K per month getting Americans high. I don't think he really needs the money, even without the weed money he's been doing his "Evening with Mike Tyson" gigs, touring around the world being paid to probably just get high and talk lol.

Plus he had the TV cartoon show which only recently ended, acting gigs which according to his IMDB still sees him doing a few projects every year. Plus Jacobs and Cayton his original managers set up a $2.7 million annuity fund for him which pays him money every year, though he did have to take $1 mill out of that fund to pay for legal costs when he was convicted of ****. But that still means he's earning money off of $1.7 mill every year. Even if he's only getting a 1% return he's still making $17K from that fund every year for doing nothing and it's likely making him more than that. So money for him won't ever be an issue.

 

After bankrupt he's earning millions with roles in movies and his weed. Seems even he buried the hatchet with Don King. Happy for him he found peace he wished.

 

I think the whole thing is ridiculous.. And now Hopkins says he wants Jones for a 3rd fight. This is why old fighters fighting is a joke. Is boxing so bad now where young fighters cannot carry the sport?

 

Good for Mike.. to come up so young on the worlds stage and have such a tumultuous upbringing...be used by people, taken advantage of, run wild for years,go to prison, lose all his money, still maintain his career, owe back taxes, failed marriages, kids, pay back taxes, then turn it all around and have a podcast, weed ranch, get back into shape after years of being horribly out of shape, and to finally be able to accept yourself and be at peace with things is amazing.... he’s a remarkable person.

 

These young guys can't carry the sport because they refuse to fight each other. Errol ducking Crawford, Tank ducking Loma (3+ years and counting), etc. These young guys don't have the cajones to risk their reputations against other talents.

 

Whats wrong with old guys fighting each other?
Let them live. We should be happy that they are doing this the right way.

 

I think our concern is unnecessary brain damage.

Then invades the ring after Mike Tyson calls him out and we get a WWE match

Let the old guys have fun, especially if they're willing to fight other greats from their era. No one wants to see Tyson fight the 50th ranked HW.

 

The thought of Roy Jones getting hit in the head again in live combat should make anyone shudder.......

 

You imagine Tyson getting really into this and forgetting for a split second it’s just an exhibition? Tyson connecting at 50% power and Roy’s glass mandible would shatter like a swarovski crystal. Curious as to insurance they have to take out to even do this.

 

I am not happy because then other old guys want to fight and it hurts boxing. Boxing is a young mans sport. It is not about having a fight to amuse people. Let's see the old and fat guy box. It should be who can win this fight and be the best in boxing.
