Ken Morita 87-86 Tyson Larry Rozadilla 86-86 Even Masakazu Uchida 88-82 Douglas Are you surprised that a judge had Tyson up and another had it even going into the 10th? Tyson did knock down Douglas, but aside from that it's hard to give Tyson other rounds. Apparently these judges scored several of the rounds even (10-10) instead of giving rounds to Douglas to arrive at these scores. What this shows is that had Tyson survived the 10th and made it 2 more rounds it could have ended a draw or even a Tyson split decision win. That's kind of amazing considering how Douglas seemed to be dominating every round.
maybe someone should have kicked ken,s and larry's ass so the next time they scored a fight they'd know what an ass kicking looked like!
Good thing Douglas knocked him out because they would have robbed him. How a judge could have possibly had Tyson ahead boggles the mind.
My scorecard at the time of stoppage Round 1: 10-9 Douglas Round 2: 10-9 Douglas Round 3: 10-10 Even Round 4: 10-9 Douglas Round 5: 10-9 Douglas Round 6: 10-9 Tyson Round 7: 10-9 Douglas Round 8: 10-8 Tyson (scores a knockdown) Round 9: 10-9 Douglas Round 10: KO for Douglas Total through 9 completed rounds: 87-84 Douglas
That looks accurate, I had Douglas winning as well. Like they say, money talks, even in the ring. Buster spoiled a lot of future plans.
Douglas would very likely have got robbed if it had gone to the cards. Just as well that he brought his own judges.
I scored the fight this way: Round 1: Douglas 10-9 Round 2: Douglas 10-9 Round 3: Douglas 10-9 Round 4: Douglas 10-9 Round 5: Douglas 10-9 Round 6: 10-10 Round 7: Douglas 10-9 Round 8: Tyson 10-8 Round 9: Douglas 10-9 So I had Douglas winning 88-83 after 10 rounds. Can see it 87-83 if you give round 6 for Tyson which is possible. But deinitely not closer. Ken Morita's card was almost as bad as Stuart Winson's card in Moorer vs Botha fight. He had Botha ahead 104-103 after 11 rounds despite the fact that Botha got battered and knocked down twice and won no more than 2 rounds of 11. Yes, judges under Don King's influence were AWFULLY biased
