The reason I felt I needed to say something Gazoc was because the observation whilst obvious to the hardcore fans, was in my view a cheap point scoring method against said fighters. I feel is cheapens the individual, I would feel the same if someone told me that Jack Johnson only won because he was bigger than everyone else and that the first time he fought someone bigger (Willard) he lost. I would feel that was a low point as we all know how fine a fighter Jack Johnson was.

Of course if Wlad was 5'2 and had exactly the same output it would be different but it just would not be Wlad. It like me saying ah but if Tyson wasnt as fast he would not have been a champion, if Bowe never had Eddie Futch he would never have got to where he was. These are all cheap shots, as if they are fluking where they are. The Klits are the finest heavyweights since the Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis era. The competition is not as good as good as the last era, but yet again this dosent really matter as we havent got a time machine.

OK OK OK OK......wow lets sit back for ONE SECOND!.........I understand what you are saying in regards to there size BUT what your failing to understand mate, is that its a false point...the theory is wrong as it is baseless. Your speaking in subjective tongues, mythical demons, big scary dragons etc.

Its pure drivel.......'If Vitali was 6'0 and leaned back then he wouldn't get away with yadda yadda yadda'. This type of talk is subconscious pessimistic and biassed thinking at its best.

Do you think Roy Jones would have the style he had without the speed? Imagine he had the speed of Balodmir? I can just see you now sitting in your comfy chair.........wait wait that stupid......of course it bloody is, as it wouldnt be Roy Jones, do you think Ray Mercer would have got away with his style of fighting without that Chin? Why the hell do people think Wlad adopts his safety first approch? Because he has been stopped 3 times, knocked down numerous occasions so he has adapted and become a defensive wizard for a heavyweight, his timing, judging of distance, and taking advantage of boxing rules by hugging/ wearing down his opponents if they come to close has seen the guy not lose for 6 years whilst taking on most of the top guys in this time period.

David Haye would not be as good if he were 5'11 and had the same style he has now...............this is the silly argument steaming from people on the thread.

Do you think Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Chris Nolan would be the directors they were if they had no money to spend on there films? Its relative.

It wasn't cheap point scoring. Read the rest of posts I've made on the subject and the context in which I made the post you quoted.

The Klits, like a lot of good fighters, make good use their physical abilities. theres nothing wrong with that. I've not put them down or said they are fluking results or that its any different from Tyson using is handspeed, Ali using his reflexs etc.

Do you regard me saying that height plays a major part in their styles as too obvious to mention or do you think I'm having a go at the Klitschos? I'll accept the former might be true (if a little harsh!!) but not the latter.....

For you guys do you think Ali and Joe Louis would have been as good if they were the 3 inches smaller and 15 pounds lighter?

Don't criticise the singing, he's just making the most of the vocal chords he was born with. Its no different to Alis poetry really.....;)

Lets get a few things straight.....for me personally both brothers have benefited from an era where guys who were smaller than them....have come in woefully out of shape. This is why people get so hyped up when fighters like Haye, Adamek, Solis, and Povetkin make there progression but Povetkin and Solis are kinda defining there own era, making soft matchups, and coming in with to much excess weight. Haye and Adamek have come from smaller divisions but still there matchups should still be far harder rather than cherry picking.

My argument stems from years and years of being involved in this sport and hearing clichéd observations in regards to certain fighters....If you bullied Tyson you won.....so laughable.

Its the same for the Klits brothers.....as if people are making profound observations ahhh but if they were 6'3 then they would be as good........but they would not be the same man, they might have increase co-ordination, better speed, more snap on there punches. What they are perfectly suits these guys as we have seen over the years. Waldimir from a technical stand point is probably number 1 or number 2 fighting with Solis for boxing fundamentals. Its Vitali who really benefits from being 6'8, strong, good endurance and an iron chin. His technical skills are laughable....just as Foremans were.

Yet again though, these points are so pointless its in a way chepens these fighters.

Its like putting a gorilla in a against a man, watching the gorilla rip him apart then after saying Ah yes but the gorilla is 500 pounds, if he were 100 pounds it would be a different story............obviously.

Your pointing out that Vitali leans back.......is Vlad but he is mearly taking advantage of his height 6'8 when most guys are that he has faced have been 6'0 to 6'4. I would do the same thing, Ali did this.....the reason we the hardcore say this is bad.......is that the moment you lean back, your centre of gravity is gone, and IF you do get tagged then your increasing the likely hood of going down on the canvas....so if a young boy who was 15 came in and we tell him not to lean back then its for a reason. Just like we tell people not swing like Foreman did or to fight like Rocky Marciano did.

I didn't say Vitali leans back....

What part of my one sentence post are you really disagreeing with? Because I'll quite happily edit it for you if its incorrect, too obvious for your tastes or, heaven forbid, insulting to the poor Klitscho brothers...

I was happy enough with Tyson last night.

He worked the jab a lot more and tried to remain composed. Did some really nice things but as normal he'd fall into a silly patch and get a bit ragged but you could see a young guy looking to show what he's learnt. He's pretty mobile for a big guy and i think he handled Page with relative ease and i think his balance although not perfect was already a sign of improvement. He was staying in stance as much as he could.

I think the physique wasn't Manny's main priority. His main thought was start on the technical side of Tyson's game rather then working on losing the weight although probably he came out of the camp at 18st and then ended up stone and half heavier when he left Manny's presence....
