Tyson Fury (2015) vs. Evander Holyfield (1991)

This can't be a serious poll.

Holyfield in 2016 would probably win.

 

I'd favour Holyfield. I just think he was a better boxer in his prime than Fury was in his.

 

Fury way too big. If Fury fights disciplined he beats any small heavy in history. (Apart from late 1980's Iron Mike)

If Fury doesn't come back he will forever be desperately underrated. We had a 6'9 potential all time great on our hands. Such a pity how things have turned out.

 

Holyfield is one of the best counterpunchers at HW ever.

One mistake from Fury - and Tyson's down and out.

Fury has to fight extremely disciplined fight, and Holy still beats him.

 

Holyfield would be a stylistic nightmare for Fury, as Tyson likes to keep a good distance from his opponent. Holyfield would be right in front of him throwing more punches, faster punches, and more precise punches.

I'd go with Holyfield by a clear UD. Fury has never been stopped and I doubt many fighters in boxing history would be able to stop him.

 

Fury keeps him on the end of the jab if holy gets inside Fury fights even dirtier then evander does and is too tall for holy's headbutts to connect also evander Dosen't have the power to KO Fury

Who gives a ****, holyfield is retired and fury is ******ed.

 

As much of a warrior Evander was, he was a steroid cheat. Fury never impressed me though.

 

Holyfield struggled a bit with jabbers but Tyson didnt have a stiff power one and hes untested with actual elite aggressive fighters , ithink the Cunningham fight shows that Holyfield wins . I think the Holyfield that fought Lewis certainly wins .

Doesn't have the power to KO Fury? Fury was almost knocked out by one punch by light punching Steve Cunningham. You need to stay off the crack or pick a sport you know more about.

 

Lets remember Mike Tyson's punches bounced off Holyfield. The real deal would wear Fury down and finish him in the late 11/12 round imo. Back then Holyfield was a true warrior who would destroy a mans body and with Fury having such a long body Holyfield would get to him Rocky style chopping down the tree.

 

Pure rubbish Fury was up at 3 and looked fine I think it's you who DKSAB Fury would destroy Evan fields
