Whyte will end up losing the same way chisora lost to fury. A good fight I still think whyte will have his hands full with Rivas
Dillian Whyte needs a new promoter. If Whyte signed with a PBC promoter ... he'd have a title shot faster than you could say Adam Kownacki.
There is no advantage. It's a trophy. If Whyte's promoter didn't promote Joshua, people would think Hearn was a total train wreck. Hearn has done great for Joshua. Hearn is also burying Whyte. There is no way Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina and Andy Ruiz should get TWO WORLD TITLE SHOTS before Dillian Whyte gets his first ... and Eddie Hearn gave Breazeale, Molina and Ruiz ... all three of them ... one of their title shots.
I don’t understand why Fury would take this fight but not a rematch with Wilder? I think he beats Whyte, just seems an unnecessary step. But I’m all for this fight going ahead.
Fury doesn't want a rematch with Wilder, because he got his head caved in. He says he needs a bunch of tuneups who can't punch first. But he has to fight someone because they are paying him so much money under his deal. Arum and Warren will pick another soft touch who can't punch for Fury after Schwarz and then "say" they are trying to make a fight with Whyte at the end of the year. Whyte is the biggest name they can get who is the safest bet. He'll be the one dangerous opponent Fury fights on his deal (if they make the fight). Then they'll fight a couple more soft touches next year to complete their five-fight deal with ESPN. And then, when they've sucked ESPN dry, they'll try to get a Wilder rematch. They're running a con. But they have to fight one "live" opponent (or at least talk about fighting one) to justify the deal. When Fury conducted his "bedside" interview last week, he said he'd fight whoever he wanted. That's probably more likely. I doubt we'll see a fight with Whyte. The guys paying Fury at ESPN probably saw the interview and asked what the hell they were paying Fury so much money for if he isn't going to fight Wilder or anyone else. So Arum put out a release saying they'd agree to fight Whyte ... but probably won't.
I’ll believe it when I see it, I think Fury will fight Schwarz then Charr then Oquendo, then Pulev and whatever other cream puff he can fight before he fights a Whyte AJ or Wilder (again).
The price Al Haymon set for getting Charles Martin to defend his IBF belt against AJ in London was 2 options on future fights. They were Breazeale and Molina and Haymon's choice not Hearn's. Ruiz jr is obviously a late replacement. Whyte would've been a better opponent, but that fight makes a lot more sense in the UK than at MSG.
You get a pair of ruby slippers that if you click your heels together three times whilst wearing you might be allowed to fight Wilder so long as your surname doesn't being with a W or a J from hereon out.
I'd like to remake the Wizard of Oz with Boxers. The Cowardly Lion - Audley Harrison? The Tinman Maybe AJ? The Scarecrow - Amir Khan Toto - That idiot that follows Wilder around like a pet dog Kellie Maloney as Glenda Eddie Hearn as the Wizard. Oscar De La Hoya as The Wicked Witch (you'll never guess where she keeps her broomstick)
