Again assuming that Fury-Joshua is being earnestly negotiated and the noises we're hearing aren't just bilateral posturing for the media; If, for the sake of discussion, Fury-Joshua happened next and Fury-Usyk didn't come soon after through any fault of Tyson's, I would be dissatisfied with the world's heavyweight champeen. But if Fury simply wishes to get active sooner rather than later, and given that Usyk doesn't want to box in December, I could accept Joshua (or even some other decent interim opponent) because I have complete faith that Fury-Usyk would be made in 2023 either way. Wilder shouldn't be an impediment for a while, because he and Ruiz apparently have an eliminator next year, assuming Wilder gets past Helenius as expected next month. The WBC are pretty liberal with deferring mandatory obligations, anyway.
Fury knows usyk will school him bad, after that the money would not be as good for fury vs aj as it is now. Now he can talk his usual crap about lineal and undefeated and best ever and they will make mad money with aj.
I don’t understand this post… are you seriously complaining about the fact that we might be seeing Fury vs Joshua next? Boxing fans always find something to moan about, I swear.
Depends if you take Usyk and Fury's words at face value. Usyk says he wants Fury, but won't be ready until Spring 2023 due to injury. Fury says he wanted Usyk in November / December, but as Usyk won't be ready he'll do the next-best thing or face the next-best Heavyweight in Joshua. If you believe them, why would anyone be upset about Joshua-Fury? It's a massive fight and it's a fight between two of the top three or four Heavyweights in the world. Been years in the making. Legacy-enhancing for whoever wins. At the end of the day, Fury-Usyk ain't happening in the very near future and I don't see a better alternative than Joshua-Fury. Who wants to just sit and wait for months on end for the undisputed fight when there are other good fights to watch in the interim?
