Watching some of Tyson's videos, this comparison sprang to my mind.

Both of them are huge, with awkward style and excellent stamina. They fought the same opponents in Derreck and Kingpin and both beat them in similar fashion. For Vitali, that was expected. But for Tyson, I think those are excellent wins, considering his age, and, the differences.

What Tyson lacks, compared to his older colleague, is iron chin, cat-like reflexes and punching power. I thought the fight with Kingpin would be even, but he surprised me. Also, I was favouring Haye to beat him.

The questions I have, can he surprise any further? Can he overcome his flaws and one day rule the division with an iron fist?

The question is why isn't this the title of the next Bond film?

I think Vitali was the better of the Klitschkos, certainly the toughest. But not now.One fight left,if that, and I don't think it will be against Tyson. If he can maintain his ambition,I reckon he can improve and be a major force.Apart from Wladimir, the division is wide open, and no reason why this lad can't beat them all.Itll be between the young Mexican kid, maybe the Cuban/Irishman,Stiverne,Wilder,Fury or whoever is lurking that we don't know about yet.Plus Fury.None will be as dominant as Vitali, though,or Wladimir for that matter.

HW boxing will be a lot more exciting and better when the Klits retire.

do you expect them to apologise for dominating so much that no one can compete with them and being so ****ing good- elite level boxers that no one can give them a competitive fight

they've beat up countless mandatories, they never duck mandatories unlike some, theyve beaten everyone from their era , they deserve respect no matter what

i'm glad their has been this Klitschko era, because think about it...
without them the titles would have been passed quickly between a load of fighters like - arreola, tony thompson, wach, adamek , even bums like wilder would have probably picked up a belt.
their dominance and Wlad's unification of all the belts has has stopped there from being weak champions at heavyweight and made it the toughest division to win a world title

I agree with most of what you say, apart from the bit about Wilder.I think theres a tendency to underrate him on this forum, and that he might prove to be better than the others you mention. He will be tested soon.

I can see why you think my post sounded like a dig in actual fact it wasn't, they have been dominant and that is fine, but can you honestly say if they were to retire tomorrow HW boxing wouldn't be a lot more exciting ? That's the point I was making and I stick by it, I don't think you would find any neutral fans ( when it comes to the Klitschkos ) who would dispute that.

The best thing Tyson Fury can do is stay with his uncle, Peter Fury.
Fury fought like a complete dickhead against Cunningham. His uncle would not have put up with that.

Tyson needs to get active again. He is no defensive wizard and this ring rust is not good. Haye really messed him over with those two cancellations. Hopefully he fights at least three times in 2014 I have feeling he is type of fighter that must stay active.

I agree, and that goes for them all.IMO it was Prices downfall, and the reason Chisora is doing so well now he has started to be more active. No fault of Furys though. His inactivity was caused by somebody else,as you said.

Exactly. Your post is the real deal on the Klits.
The haters need to wake up to the fact that these two brothers would have held their own in any era and beat the f*** out of most past champions.

...just to add what tyson fury lacks..

    boxing ability. and boxing level.

vitali was a world class amatuer and pro, tyson struggled against john mcdermott.

Who are these " haters " on this thread who said the the Klits couldn't ? Whether I or anyone else on this thread believes they could/couldn't is irrelevant that was never the claim so I fail to see your point other than highlighting people dislike the Klits, the same as any fighter, all fighters are disliked by some boxing fans that's life deal with it. Now could you or the guy who quoted me with a **** poor point actually make a reply to my claim instead of saying people just hate the Klits they are great blah blah blah. I'll say the claim again to make it easier, can you honestly dispute if Wlad and Vitali quick tomorrow Hw boxing would not be more exciting thus making it better to watch ? Forgot what they done in the past I'm making the claim for the present day.
