Tyson can't return anytime soon. There is too much pressure for him to be able to recover and regain fitness to be able to fight again. When he is forgotten about is when he will be able to attempt a comeback.
What is this his 3rd or 4th retirement announcement? Who cares really, hopefully he goes away this time and doesn't come back. And only a fool would say this guy was good for the sport. He had zero respect for boxing fans by pulling out of fights, couldn't draw flies to **** and was making statements that put the sport in disrepute.
the carrot of a Femi ppv fight will see him back once his newly fitted gastric band has him down to 270lb.
this is why I had no faith in his comeback, you cant trust what the man says. i like Tyson but he was retired anyway to me, unless there was solid evidence of a comeback, not some bed ridden rant and him lugging himself on a half arsed run.
He needed the excuse of people saying 'AJ is fighting a past prime Fury' so bad, that he has cannibalised his own chance at beating him prime-for-prime. Don't care for him anymore. He's not mentally tough enough for this sport.
Exactly, Fury is mentally extremely weak and shouldn't be in the boxing game. He can't handle the pressure.
He's one of the most mentally strong boxers in the sport you utter moron. You simply don't know what mental strength is in regards to the fight game. Most fighters would and have crumbled under the circumstances he fought Wlad under. Experience performing on a stage that big needs to be developed and Fury had zero fight experience on that magnitude going in. CHEF always claimed that Manny would would say - "welcome to big time boxing" - to all Wlads opponents before the fight ,then claimed they realised they were in over their heads and lost all confidence they had in themselves. The pressure on Fury going into Wlads den was insurmountable yet he strolled into the ring like he owned the place , it was on of the most awe inspiring walks of confidence i ever witnessed. He convinced me right there and then he was going to win the fight. Thats the epitome of mental strength and self belief. There's the whole other aspect to his mental fortitude as well in the way he had the focus and vision to see out his game-plan in hostile territory. He fought a punch perfect fight while remaining calm and focused and thats down to having a supreme level of mental straight and mental foresight. Fury fought a thinking mans fight against a guy who could shut his lights out with one punch. You clearly know nothing about the fight game and even less about what it takes to step inside the ring. An absolute joke of a post.
A single night doesn't make you mentally strong. Mental strength is shown over the long haul, when you endure the pressure of fans, media and critics alike, over a span of many years. Fury has folded mentally after a few weeks at the top like the mental midget he is. Then he goes to cry how the media and fans mistreated him and didn't give him a fair shake. That's the hallmark of mental weakness: Inability to remain disciplined and endure pressure over the long haul. When adversity strikes, quickly looking for excuses and blaming others.
