Tyson Fury is in nowhere near the best shape of his career. For my money, he looked like he was in his best shape in 2013 when he was due to fight David Haye. Aside from that, he was in great shape against Wladimir Klitschko. His gut right now is huge. To say he is in the best shape of his career, right now, is ludicrous.
He will never be in as good a shape as he was for Wladimir Klitschko. This has become a cliche - every boxer always says before every fight "I am in the best shape of my career". You can only be in the best shape of your career in one fight. He should be in good enough shape to do 12 rounds against Wilder.
The huge weight gain and resulting loose skin has worsened the look of his "spare tire" around his hips so he will never physically look as good as he did Vs klitschko for example but in terms of dedication and fitness he should be as good as he can get at this point with whatever damage the layoff and abuse did to his body
I see him a little too overconfident and saying he will weigh in at 270 as though he will be strong to overpower Wilder. If he comes in with that attitude he will get hit and stopped. I hope this is just talk and that he comes out boxing. You have to be humble with a big puncher. You have to know and think he can knock me out.
Funny, I heard Fury's been hanging out with Andy Ruiz as they cleaned out All You Can Eat Buffet Restaurants!!
I just hope he's not gone to far the other way. he has looked relatively streamlined in recent fights then his dads comments and maybe his fading in the last round have prompted a change of thinking. 270 sounds to high for me to move against a live opponent but lets see
