Joshua is all fast twitch, sprinter's muscles - power, a measure of max effort. A 2000m row is an endurance event - being able to maintain around 30% effort near indefinitely. The current Fury wouldn't stand a chance but the Fury of the Klitschko fight probably would.

A colleague in my post-Doc lab was a rowing coach at Durham University, mens reserve and womens A team. He was serving under the first team coach, who was a German ex-Olympic coach (the University team had a seriously rich benefactor). Essentially he was getting to pick and train potential future Team GB Olympians; as, whilst the Oxford / Cambridge boatrace is absurdly competitive, as the race is at a non-standard distance of 6700 m, a lot of good Olympic rowers (2000 m standard distance) come from outside that system. At the start of every year he would scout for potential stars. He did not look for muscled Adonises but for tall people with big legs and arses - in rowing the power is all generated by the legs and long arms sweep out a greater volume of water - honed arms and abs were not a consideration.

Rowing? The boat would sink with Fury on it.

I think a little too much is being made of Joshua running an 11.4 100 Meters a while back. There are HS guys who do it in under 11 and don’t even come close to making state. 11.4 is a good time yes don’t get me wrong. But this “Sprinters Speed” talk is laughable.

Corrie Sanders ran a 11 flat in Jr High by the way.

I’d watch just to see Tyson’s boat sink when he gets into it.

While 2k metres would take 7 minutes or under, I think the fact sports relief is only a week or two out from the AJ-Parker fight would probably put paid to this challenge.

Not to hijack but have you seen any of the NFL combine 22D max rep bench efforts? Guys the weight around 300 only getting about 30 reps. Elite running backs and linebackers getting low 20's. I would be amazed if Joshua could get 20 reps with 225/bs/102kgs.
