I had no idea that you were the REAL Thor. I read your comic books between the ages of about 4 and 22 or so, and then life just got on top of me and I didn't have time to follow your exploits anymore.

I am so glad the movies are bringing you back to prominence.

Do they know anything about the family, or MTK's history?

If they do, and they're still fans, they might just be working for em.

 

I've had some nationalistic trolls defend them to me on here.

Those guys aren't nationalistic, they're guys who joeyed a packet for someone once, and have dreams of being Scarface.

If it weren't Kinihans lads it would be another group.

Prohibition is the ultimate cause of the international narcotics trade.

Legalise and tax and problems are reduced drastically.

Until then, for every Hutch, Dunne or Kinihan or similar that comes along; there will be worse than them coming after they are taken down or put away.

It's a huge market.

 

FWIW I agree with you re: prohibition.

What I don't agree with it the legitimisation of murderers who happily fill our streets with violence and misery.

 

I don't know much about Daniel Kinahan but boxing has always been full of gangsters. Some of the best gyms in the UK are owned and operated by men who are/were professional criminals. A bit like the nightclub industry, and much of the music industry. It's always been that way.
Some of these professional criminals have probably put a good amount of money into the sport.
I'm kind of neutral on it.

 

As for Don King, he served his time before he got involved in boxing. Many boxers have accused him or ripping them off but many have defended him and thanked him for giving them lucrative careers. He was a sneaky operator that's for sure but you get that in every business.

 

Tyson? People are going overboard with that mitt work. Maybe Tyson has to come back for people to really get the message about why guys should not come back and fight top fighters. Did you see Tyson in 2004 against Danny Williams? Or Kevin McBride in 2005? Same story.. well with Danny he came out harder, the guy took his punches and then Mike was tired in round 4 and stopped in round 5. I think McBride was similar but Tyson was not really coming on as strong, and he said he wanted a payday. He didn't love boxing anymore.. He went down after being pushed down, but he was nailed a bit before that. I am not sure why people are thinking Mike should even fight anyone top 30 at this point. He will lose once a guy lasts 2 or 3 rounds Mike will start to get hit more and then stopped in 4.. Against anyone. So he is going to take off 15 years and have a radio show, then train and lose weight and people think that is all it takes? and start to beat champions after losing to Williams and McBride a decade and a half ago.. The guys at the top are so sharp and react so quickly. Tyson was good 30 years ago. I suggest these people who think Mike could fight Wilder now, go watch Mcbride and Williams vs. Tyson.

 

A lot of fighters blame King and some of them got rich off of him. He was controlling with Tyson, he didn't want to lose that money. As for the fans Don King-he put on great fight cards I remember. Arum did control the fab 4 of the 1980s but his undercards were no good. And one thing I know. Barkley was given so many opportunities by Arum. More than most guys would get after some of his performances like with Van Horn, and then the Hearns rematch. And Barkley now says Arum somehow disrespected him.

 

Not sure what to make of all this MTK business.

They’ve been recruiting aggressively of late monopolising the game.

It won’t make a shred of difference in 20 years time to Fury’s rep tho, just like Iron Mike doesn’t get judged for working with Don King.
