He is taking tuneups. Probably a few. And we’ve yet to see how many

VK came back after four years with no tuneup’s and thrashed current title holder right outta inactivity. THRASHED him.

Fury is ——not even close—— to that level of accomplishment, even if he were in the title after a few tuneups. Nowhere near VKs achievement

    Very well put.
I’ll just add that strength of the current HW division should also be taken into consideration. Even if Fury follows through with his “Fenix rising from ashes” quest, he’ll likely receive less credit for it.

It would be impressive if Fury came back from being morbidly obese to win world belts. But that in itself does not put him up there with hw atg's. He needs consistent wins at elite level to be in that company. So far he's only beaten old wlad - that was a great win , but it's just one win.

Point is, he wasn’t doing lines and drinking. I still think that 10 years out of the ring and a comeback in his 40ies is by far greater accomplishment.

Well coming back from depression, drugs, obesity, all he legals with the board and everything else that went on, it would be pretty astonishing.

As a fighter diet is paramount in being sucessful. But, drinking and drug use doesn't help a bit. Fury coming back and winning a belt would be very imperssive. He probably will fail in his attempt.

Clearly this would be the case. In fact he would certainly be the greatest human being who ever lived, surpassing Jesus and Justin Bieber.

Depends on whether he’s able to stay focused or not, as well as where he is at speed/stamina wise. I really don’t think that someone like Wilder would find an answer to problems one of the fastest and most awkward HW’s ever would bring. Joshua has a better chance but again, fit (lol) Fury confuses the hell out of him. Shot Wlad came close to closing the deal, Parker was able to get in and out just fine, me thinks Fury would stop him.

Oi, no no no, hold your horses.... it will take a lot more to surpass Bieber.

How dare you make such belittling claims anyway, that’s someone’s daughter for ****s sake.

If he came back and beat Wilder and AJ, yes, objectively it would be one of the greatest achievements in hw history.

So excited for Fury's return!! He is going to change boxing history. We live in a parallel universe, where we have the honour to see him fight again.

I have a suspicion (no proof, lads, just a hunch) that if present day Vitali were to train for 3 or 4 months and faced Fury in early October, he would stop Fury quicker than he stopped Peter a decade earlier.
