Tyson Fury could barely land a glove on Wladimir Klitschko? Where exactly was the masterclass?

He did to Fury what Wlad did to Haye. Nullified a smaller man who has speed and power by feinting and using his range and movement to stop him from planting his feet and teeing off with a flush punch, and as with Wlad and Haye, the smaller man also was good enough to not really be touched up much despite clearly losing the rounds. Fury fought smart, and the impressive part was more that he fought smart for 12 rounds against someone who had barely lost two consecutive rounds for many years of fighting almost everyone he could've gotten in the ring with him and who'd KO'd almost everyone and decisively handled them leading up to it. If someone thinks that proves he's one of the best to ever do it, I don't agree, but it was an impressive application of strategy against an impressive champion. Was Wlad performing badly? Yeah, in the sense that Fury deliberately and efficiently brought out the worst in his faults as a boxer. But that's basically what happened in the Pacweather bout. People do not like to give credit when the method of victory brings out the worst in the opponent because it tends not to be fun to watch. It's not winning by chaos and fun. It's winning by order and decrease of connects. But it's winning. And winning clearly against odds. That should impress people to a degree, even if they hate it.

I'd call it how it was. I wouldn't be claiming it was a close fight like the OP.

I was and am a huge Wlad fan.

It wasn't a great win but he did what he had to do to win the fight. Great fighters aren't always great.

The irony that the Wlad nuthuggers who salivated at exactly the type of performance their hero was best known for - are now eternally butthurt because their champions reign was ended in exactly the same fashion

Fury showed good defensive skills but he didn`t land much.

Not sure if you guys remember, but vitali was genuinely pissed at Wlad losing to Joshua, as if it shouldn't have happened.

After the fury fight, all he could do was watch the gypsy king sing and he knew no way was little brother beating this don

Landed about as much as klit did against haye?

It was still a landslide victory. People coming out with so much bull**** here.

Oh he wasn't that big of an underdog. Oh, he didn't land hundreds of punches, oh he didn't win by ktfo.....

Nobody ever did what fury did to Wlad ....period. And that too in his backyard

He spun tied up, and confused the hell out of Wlad… and he did it on Wlads turf.

But Fury had a reach advantage and still didn`t land that much.

He made klitschko look like proper dog meat. Couldn’t work out his elite feints and off set rhythm the whole fight. Made klitschko throw next to nothing for 12 whole rounds. Bare in mind this is klitschko not some bum.

He made him miss but rarely made him pay with counters, Fury is not a good, consistent counter puncher.

Context is precisely what's missing from the OP.
