He was ranked higher and dropped due to inactivity, he isn't really that low on the rankings. He's also one of the better contenders available being an undefeated 28 year old with a quality win in Chisora on the resume and a European title to show for it.

Fair point. I just watched him against Chisora and it was fairly even so maybe its not the worst match up

It was a close fight but Agit nicked it on his movement. I think he has the goods to be a good contender and tough out for many top 10 guys. Well rounded albeit not a big puncher.

Rivas is as well so he's another likelihood and one I'd prefer a bit more tbh.

I've just watched lots of footage of both Rivas and Kabayel.

Fury will beat both of them but Kabayel actually doesn't look half bad. He is a naturally bigger man than Rivas, He actually has some decent ability & he holds a good work rate (Although against much inferior men)

He can go forwards and backwards.

Rivas becomes very static and stands in front of you after a few rounds, just like Whyte. Fury will blow through him easier than I first thought.

You still have to say based on his pedigree that Rivas is the better fighter but the younger hungrier & bigger Kabayel isn't as bad a step in opponent as I first thought, he has a few angles to him. I see why Fury used him for sparring. He isn't a total stiff, he might even have some evasiveness about him. Normally with untested big guys like him they blow out or lose composure after a few rounds but Kabayel doesn't seem to do that.

I feel like a knob for being so mean to him. People will still cry about him getting picked though.

Hilarious. This is Kabayel. He's not good. To go from fighting the #1 contender to this is sad.

Don't sugar coat it. We went from Ali continuing a series with Foreman, Frazier or Norton to Ali deciding instead to fight Jean Pierre Coopman.

That's all this is. Everyone knows it. You don't have to try to pump him up. Kabayal is bad. He edged Chisora years ago in an awfully dull fight on a night when Chisora came in flat. That's all.

Lazardis landed every time he threw. Lazardis just sucks, too.

Hunter and Wallin would have been pretty cool. Kabayel is fine all things considered. Higher end European guy/fringe contender

You're being harsh, I was harsh in till I properly watched him

I see these Kabayel fights and I see a big guy who isn't gassing out or fighting with any negativity AT ALL. Holds a good pace and comes to fight. front foot or back foot. I see why AJ and Fury have used him for sparring.

The Chisora fight was boring as hell yes but got the job done. Didn't look anywhere near as vulnerable as Whyte did against Chisora.

There are many heavies who you'd consider better who don't keep moving like this guy is over 10 rounds. This is why he beat Chisora. Outworked him, fought his own fight.

Mark my words, this could turn into a bit of a fun dogfight if fury walks at Kabayel and Kabayel is game. Typically you'd expect to just see Fury pulling a Chisora style beatdown on a guy like this over a fight distance.

Fury blows through the two second best men in the division, lets not get all angsty about him fighting some fresh blood in a no crowd fight.

If Fury isn't going to fight the #1 contender, he should fight the best available.

Kabayal is the worst WBC contender. He's the worst undefeated WBC contender. He's the worst WBC contender Top Rank promotes.

He's the worst in every category.

Why can't Fury fight the best available WBC contender, or the best undefeated WBC contender, or the best contender Top Rank promotes? Why is this all about looking for the WORST possible opponent?

There are only five guys in the sweepstakes, and Kabayel is second best. He will get the fight because of promotional ties. Remember, it has to be a WBC 15. The five guys not already booked:

    Hunter
Best of the bunch. We all love the man, and would like to see him get a shot, but they are not going to pass up the opportunity to punch the ticket twice.

    Kabayel
Undefeated, credible due to win over Chisora, and proportionally tied. Freshest face of the bunch. More on that when we talk about...

    Martin
Former IBF champ, so some people are going to want to see this. Problem is, he is a known commodity, and what most fans know about him, they don't like. Quit against Joshua, slept through the first six of Kownacki.

    Rivas
Coming off a loss. Too small. Basic. Known to have blindness in one eye and should not be fighting. No signature win. Terrible fight.

    Ajagba
No one is going to ruin a marquee prospect by throwing him in this early. Just forget it.

    Kabayel it is.
