You picking Rivas to beat whyteleafe here 20?

I haven’t done my research on the lad yet but I’m of the firm belief whyteleafe is nowhere near wilders level let alone fury, I’d put him a rung below Ruiz and on a par with the chinny robot at this moment

I think this Rivas kid will need the knockout to upset the o2 ppv blue lights sweet Caroline recipe.

Whyteleafe is chinny and has a horrendous gastank but does this kid have what it takes to stop him?

Good move from Fury this trying to rattle Whyte before the Rivas fight. He can get him out of there without even stepping in the ring.

 

I’m picking Rivas, mate. Whyte has a very dangerous left hook but he’s not elusive and susceptible to a big overhand right imo. Rivas times his own shots so that he’s throwing with his opponent. I also think Whyte could end up burning a lot of gas throwing more shots than he’s used to because Rivas stays in range all the time and walks his opponents down. I feel that it’s not necessarily the calibre of Rivas that’s the potential banana skin but rather his style.

 

I think alot of the reason why Whyte hasnt got the Wilder fight which he has clearly deserved, is because of the boxing politics of Al not wanting to risk allowing Hearn to have all the belts and a bag of smarties.

It was up until AJ had all the belts far too much of a risk.

If AJ doesnt recover the belts from Ruiz Jr, then the fight between Wilder and Whyte becomes far more likely in my view.

Fury is Fury, half of what he says is complete BS and a complete contradiction. His focus is only on the rematch with Wilder at this point.

You chat ****, the posts are all over the forum and timestamped... Rivas vs Whyte was touted as the best match up... we knew Breazeale vs Wilder was a mismatch... and 99.9 per cent of the population figured Ruiz vs AJ was a mismatch too.

Nah trust me on this one, Whyte is the last human being in the boxing division to overlook anybody. He is 100 million thousand per cent not thinking about anyone else except Rivas...

He is fully focused, and ain't looking past him... and he has been like this since day one. Another incredible attribute of dillian whyte, as opposed to AJ for example who tends to get VERY complacent with one's self.

Wilder has the same attribute as Whyte, always focused.

Dillian Whyte turned down a lot of money to fight Joshua this year, a rematch he's apparently been after for almost 4 years.
Dillian Whyte slagged off Eddie Hearn and made a lot of noise about signing with Top Rank but apparently, it seems, Hearn is the only promoter who values him enough to pay him what he thinks he's worth.
Dillian Whyte is getting another PPV from SKY this month against a good fighter who happens to be completely unknown to UK casuals and still fairly obscure to even most 'hardcores'.
Hearn bends over backwards to please Whyte.

There's a distinct possibility that the American promoters can't be bothered with Whyte and don't value him enough to pay him what he demands and don't feel like selling him - and don't feel like he's worth working with Eddie Hearn for ..... if Hearn couldn't pay Whyte enough to get in the ring with Joshua, it's no surprise the Americans can't be bothered with him ..... and, yes, Whyte is pretty good fighter.

 

Tyson fury has a very unique personality which the American people can get on with which can’t be said for everyone.

But people in the UK clearly see something in Whyte and that is proven by his PPV numbers. His true worth will be shown in the Rivas fight because the undercard is poor and nobody knows who rivas is and probably think he’s a bum. Hearn and Whyte have done very well together , not sure how anyone can deny that.

 

Definitely, Hearn has helped build Whyte up brilliantly because, let's face it, whatever we think of him he's not an overly likeable character, he plays the bad guy role well though and has fought his way into a position where most will agree deserves a World Title shot. Bizarrely, Hearn could be about to do the same thing with Dave Allen, he could be two or three fights away from getting a shot at one of the belts, depending on how a number of things pan out, madness.

Tailor made for Whyte. Short(for a hw), predictable and a defenseless brawler who I see walking on to some big shots.

Saying that Dillian isn't much better in that respect, probably worse in terms of balance and moving his head but I can see him easily countering Rivas who telegraphs all of his punches before all of his fanboys descend on here and talk of it being a masterclass ATG performances that puts him head and shoulders above all the other HW's in the division.

 

Yes, if Whyte-Rivas does big numbers on the PPV then we can say Whyte is a favourite of the casual fans.
So far, his PPVs have been :
JOSHUA ...... Whyte was obviously not the draw here.
PARKER ...... Parker was just coming off a massive PPV world unification fight with Joshua and was fresh in the minds of all casuals, going the distance with Joshua didn't hurt his standing with casuals at all, so clearly he added value, and perhaps around 50%, to the event.
CHISORA ..... a rematch of a fight that was on a Joshua-Molina undercard, and Chisora was coming off the "show stealing" KO of Takam on the Whyte-Parker show, and a long standing 'name' among the Brit heavyweights, so obviously Chisora added a lot of value here.

If Whyte is a real "stand-alone" PPV fighter for the UK casuals, the Oscar Rivas fight will prove it.

I enjoy a whyteleafe interview and I enjoy watching the man fight, he brings heart and desire and has improved a lot since the chinny robot put an untrained fat one armed novice version of him to sleep.

I’d back the reborn joey thirteen Parker to beat him up and stop him now, Ruiz would get inside and knock him out, I wouldn’t be surprised if he knocks out the chinny robot with a left hook if they ever rematch and given how much hell shot old delboy war chisora gave him over 23 rounds I’d have to give that fat muppet Miller a chance to hang with him.

He simply ain’t that good when viewed objectively and is another case of the sky subscriber brains trust being programmed to talk about him in the specific way his promoter does.
