Anthony Joshua was a good champion, but not spectacular. In general, I think he's underrated, because we haven't had a spectacular champion since Lennox Lewis.

I watched two of his videos, one with True Geordie and one without. While he gave Ngannou a shot, he sided with AJ both times.

Respectfully, I completely disagree. Both the Fury and AJ fights were pointless, IMO. And I largely blame Fury.
I wouldn't mind him taking the fight if he had cleaned out the division. And had no other business to attend to. But he didn't take the Ngannou fight to settle any wider debate. He took it as he viewed it as an easy cash grab, instead of fighting AJ or Usyk.
Therefore I don't think it was a bout to settle any sort of historical argument. It was done to help a paper champion avoid his biggest rivals. Thats not the circumstances an MMA v Boxing star bout should happen in, to settle any sort of wider argument.

Fedor obviously a top MMA fighter. And certainly ranks higher, at HW, than Ngannou.

Even tho Anthony put him away Ngannou still looked dangerous out there to me. He is a special human. He went 10 rounds with one of the best ever and you can never take that away from him. That punch he was put away with coulda knocked out a hippo and the man didnt even have a mark on his face when I saw him after the fight.

Was it the oxygen mask attached to his face that gave you “dangerous “ vibes?

They happened because Fury always takes the path of least resistance.

The fact is, before the fight there was the possibility that Ngannou could have given hard fights to 2 legit top 10 heavyweights. People pretending that they know Joshua would take out Ngannou easily are probably lying. If Ngannou went out there and challenged Joshua in a serious way, it would force serious questions about boxing as a sport. Fury's performance in hindsight was a disgrace, so was Mayweather's against Mcgregor. This easy win by Joshua is how a fight between a top 10 boxer in their weight class should always look against someone coming in from another sport. So, praise to Joshua for doing what a top fighter should do.

I don't disagree per se, but when have you ever seen Fury or Mayweather ever sit down and throw a punch with the same force that AJ did? AJ did what a power-boxer should do, absolutely. Who would ever describe Fury or Mayweather as power-boxers though?

Both Mayweather and Fury threw their attempts at power shots, Mayweather eventually worked after Conor gassed out and Fury just never had the power to phase Ngannou.

Nog had a better resume than Ngannou, arguably Werdum as well. I was talking more ability wise than resume anyway. Ngannou was a big athletic powerful guy but one dimensional and not very technical, and was dominating in a weak division full of brawlers. There was a strong element of right place, right time for Stipes run as well. Neither of them would have been the top dog in the early 10s.

This is the definitive conclusion of the fight and exactly how I feel, mma is back in it’s box and we have a frame by frame punch perfect antidote to any mma bollocks that might get brought up. The main man’s chin got absolutely splattered it was a life changing ko
