I normally agree with you comments but I hate this aguement.

Because again it completely puts everything on AJ and why he has to do this and that while Wilder, fury and anyone else treads water until AJ has to cement his legacy.

What about furys legacy?? Why doesn’t fury have a burden to come back and reclaim and prove his legacy. His legacy is one fight deep and some praise this. Wilders is 0 fights deep.

Secondly, I’m from the UK and think AJ/Fury is the fight here but the money fight is wilder (if he stay unbeaten) outside of the UK and boxing nuts I don’t think anyone would care about it.

AJ/Wilder could be huge here and marketed could be huge globally especially the states.

It's not a literal belt of the type you use to keep your trousers up but it is a title nonetheless.

He beat Klitschko drug free. Samples taking before during and after all produced negative results for banned substances. There is no dispute on the result, he beat the Lineal champ by UD.

As long as he remains unbeaten and active (this being the only question mark but it looks like he is ready now) he will be lineal champ. When he returns he will be Lineal champ and If he fights Wilder/Joshua/Parker/Wilder it will be for the Lineal HW championship.

IMO it's more to do with AJ being manafactured and managed to the top, the gift in the Olympics and the fact he has only won vacant titles. Fury beat the champ against all odds and had nothing to prove. The way Hearn and Joshua bought that vacant IBF title is absolutely shameless.

Wilder is not a PPV fighter in the states in fact he is hated by the general public. He doesn't even sell out arena's in his hometown of Alabama.

Revenue wise and legacy wise it's AJ v Fury not only for Joshua but also for Hearn. Possibly the biggest fight in British boxing history.

Disagree, fury isn’t PPV! The only true PPV star currently is AJ... AJ Wilder has more of the X factor globally it’s a more exciting proposition... it would need to be pushed heavily in the states I agree but it has far more potential.

AJ/Fury will be big in the UK but I think Fury would have to have come back fights and who knows what he will look like... he could be boring again against average opposition.

Money wise fury is only a draw while the intrigue is there. There will be lots of attention on his return and rightfully so but let’s not act like fury was a huge star before his issues got the better of him.

If and it’s a big IF, Fury walked into a right hand from say David Price or Shannon Briggs in comeback fight no 2.... does Pricey/the cannon become the lineal champ? Is that how it works? Or if Fury never fights again, would the lineage just end?

That's the whole issue with the linealship, as it's up for debate.
The utopic "you can only win and lose it in the ring" just isn't viable, because every single lineage at every single weight has been broken multiple times, and then it was up for debate where and when a new lineage started (if it even did).
Before Fury got the belt there where 3 different plausable theories at which point Wlad became lineal, and another in which he never did and it was his brother instead. Some believe Holmes never got lineal at all because Ali had officially retired before and wasn't considered lineal anymore when they faced eachother (legit, as Ali was a walking punchbag), and the lineage was restored not when Tyson fought Spinks, but rather a new lineage began when he became undisputed a couple of fights before that. Just to show how much this all hangs upon public opinion and historians, publications and press disagreeing with eachother...

lineal is as politic as any other belt these days.

AJ vs Wilder would create a new lineage. #1 vs #2

Hearn would be super lucky to collect 30% vs the lineal Gypsy King. :sisi2:

How exactly did Hearn ‘buy’ the IBF title? Fury would have been stripped even without the retirement/cocaine/meltdown nonsense. Him and his team were the ones who decided to idiotically sign a rematch clause on their MANDATORY challenge which meant they couldn’t defend that belt afterwards. Only themselves to blame, but like always with Fury it’s everyone else’s fault.

    This exactly!
People seem to have forgotten how the whole Fury signing for the Wlad fight went down, as it actually happened about 45 minutes after the deadline, when it looked like there was a very big chance the fight would take place in Russia when the pursebid happened.
Then it's all on Fury and his team that they signed away some rights to prevent that from happening.

Totally bored. Why doesn't he get in shape and actually schedule a fight? He is the undisputed champion of talking shite on Twitter. As for asking for 60/40 in his favour, that's what's known as a constructive duck.
