What did Chisora actually achieve against Vitali then? He didn't get sparked - that's an achievement in itself now?
You dont have the best top 10 in terms of history but what you do have is a really deep top 50 guys, very similar levels if boxing promoters and managers were actually organised then some exciting matchups would be made, thus increasing the likleyhood that fighters up there game. Look at Chisora he improved with each defeat. Somtimes we talk of this being weak etc, but look at the 80s only two great heavies roamed the land, the 1990s a top two decade had 4 great heavies...in reality thats not a huge number. The klitshckos are great but at the bottom ladder for greatness, that with the lack of matchmaking with the top boys means we perceive this to be weaker than it is.
That post was tongue-in-cheek tbh mate, I just assumed you realised that when you posted "". Most Klitschko fans look for excuses any time one of them doesn't look that great, and while Vitali's shoulder probably was bothering him Del Boy's body work was a big part in why Vitali didn't look as good as he normally does. And hand injury or no hand injury, Helenius - if he's as talented as he was/is hyped to be - should have been able to find a way to at least keep Del Boy at bay and win on points. I wouldn't have Chisora in the top 10 heavyweights in the world, but I'd have him ahead of Fury for certain at this point based on the fact the Helenius victory was a robbery and Helenius was considered by many - the likes of The RING magazine, for example - to be there or thereabouts in their top 10.
How can people say Chisora should be ranked above Fury ? He has lost 3 of his last 4 fights and 2 of those were fighting with 1 arm,too many people with no common sense.
The Ring rankings have being getting shitter over the past few years. And they have their own agenda as well the twats. They got rid of Huck from the CW rankings when he signed to fight Povetkin so Cunningham/Hernandez II would be for their vacant title yet Gamboa is still ranked at feather despite his next fight being at 135.
well up to last week they still had nick charles on their panel plus a few people resigned due to the way gbp dealt with the old staff and some members have complained that they are not been listened too.so seems like it is michael rosenthal rankings now not the rings
Nothing against Fury, but in the grand scheme of things he's still a novice. Him making the top ten right now says it all about the dire state of the HW division. Good luck to him anyway.
Of course. Going the distance with the world champion (who had 40 K0s out of 43 wins) has always been acknowledged as an achievement. And he did so in better style than the previous three fighters who had extended Vitali. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83fdGG9yQwE&feature=related[/ame]
Well Fury is #10 on the ESB rankings which is actually higher than his Ring rating (where's he's really actually the 11th listed heavyweight when Ring champion Wlad is included.) Also, The Ring have dropped Eddie Chambers for inactivity but he is still in the ESB rankings. If he was also dropped by ESB Fury obviously goes even higher there. I think when we're talking about the last few places of a top ten then usually there's not a lot to choose between the remaining contenders and I don't think it's outrageous if Fury sneaks in.
