You guys just don't know how to assess people who live by a different moral and philosophical framework than you do. Gypsy people are a beautiful culture and they don't act on the same "normal" values. They believe in things like the transient nature of the human body and concepts of physical bravery and soulful mental creativity that manifest themselves in cultural norms which are sophisticated and fisticuffic to extremes that true English types cannot handle, let alone EE's.
Low casual interest in the fight because of postponement and long history of Fury BS. So something needs to be done to draw attention to it.
I just watched the full video of the incident. Up until now, I thought Shane was the most sane and honourable member of Fury's immediate family. I no longer think that. He is exactly the same as the rest of this embarrassing family. It's truly a sad state of affairs when the boxing establishment, especially the British one, fawns over such an uncivilised, thuggish family. I'm sure Gareth A. Davies and the other bootlickers despise them and consider them lowlife criminals, but they still suck up to them in hopes of some financial or other rewards. It's a strange dynamic when supposedly educated members of higher social classes cheer for such shameful characters as those in the Fury family. Money is a powerful thing.
The kid he headbutted should sue him, but knowing he's Ukrainian they are cut from a different cloth and hopefully his people can get justice on John their own way.
Does John Fury think his disgusting behaviour makes more people want to see the fight? The sad thing is that it probably will and this is his motive. Or maybe he thinks that this incident will unsettle Usyk. But it's disgraceful and I HATE it.
You clearly don't know what you are talking about. First of all, Eastern Europe is full of Gypsies. Second of all, don't try to elevate this to some cultural and spiritual level that is so nuanced that we complacent Westerners couldn't understand. John Fury assaulted a young kid half his size unprovoked. If any of your gibberish were true, he wouldn't have lied about the reason, stating the kid was insulting him and Tyson, saying derogatory things about them. Not only did we see video evidence that all the kid did was chant 'Usyk, Usyk,' but later they did an interview with the lad, and he doesn't speak a word of English. How was he supposed to insult John Fury with derogatory remarks then? John Fury physically attacked someone without any reason or provocation. This is something that gets you in trouble in all cultures around the whole globe, be it a democratic Western constitutional state with a penal code or some hunter-gatherer tribe living deep in the Amazonas. However you try to justify it, even Gypsies don't approve of assaulting smaller guys without any reason and then fabricating a fake reason in an attempt to justify it.
John Fury is Tyson Fury's father but Tyson Fury is the boss of that camp. If Fury really disapproves of his father's behaviour, he should tell him in no uncertain terms that if it happens again, he will be expelled from the entourage permanently.
100% this. It's assault. Plain and simple and has no place in civilised society. If the Saudi's had any morals (they don't) then John Fury would be in a prison cell right now facing charges and whatever punishment falls under the Saudi penal code.
You could be on to something there Griff. I must say, one of the strangest observations and conclusions I’ve ever read. As to wee John, if he wasn’t so geographically dislocated atm, I might’ve put money on it being him who sucker punched Steve Buscemi. Who does wee John think he is...our “own”(okay, he’s really a kiwi) Russell Crowe, fight’n’ around the world? Leave that **** to Rusty. He knows how to come off second best better than anyone else - though, I don’t know if Crowe ever bottomed out as badly as John Fury did - worst head butt ever...lol.
