Maybe he's suffered a breakdown over the Leave win and is just using the ankle to cover that embarrassing development

After the **** he gave haye and kiltschko about pulling out with an injury this is disgraceful...claimed he'd never pull out with an injury and would fight on no matter what. Fury and his team always go on about being real but they are some of the biggest liars in the game.

Either he's genuinely injured and lied about never pulling out, or he's lieing about the injury and is doing it as revenge and subsequently screwing fans over.

The fight should have happened in April or May. July was already an 8 month wait since the first fight.

I have my doubts about Fury's motivation to carry on fighting anyway. In theory he's at his peak and possibly good enough to go on and have a good reign as champion. That's what his uncle and his father seem to recognize and hope for, as well as his fans.

But really, when you look at the whole picture, Fury could well be old news a year from now.
A family man who, while playing up for his fans and the media, seems very happy in private life.
He's not loved by the British media.
    He's happy not training.
He realizes boxing is quite meaningless.
He achieved what he set out to do.
He's been inactive a lot in recent years.
    He's not with the UK's biggest broadcasters/promoters.
He's an attraction on youtube and fodder for the tabloids but not a huge draw when it comes to filling seats.
    .... and now he's injured.

I don't know. Maybe the fight will be re-scheduled for Germany.

Shame they couldn't keep the date - Wlad in a 10 rounder vs someone durable

    Flannigan top of the bill

    Hughie to step up

    Butler at Bantam etc

Not saying Fury is lying but no way this fight happens in the UK.

The fighter will be an even harder sell in a few months time. People over here just ain't that interested.

Sprained ankle two weeks out...really? Cmon that might be bruised up a bit, but in a week that thing will most likely be 100%. Fury is out of shape and demotivated. He's stalling. I hope people give him a world of **** concerning his previous comments about people pulling out due to injury though. He definitely deserves it. Only prolonging the inevitable though. If not wlad, someone else with power will knock him clean out soon enough.
