Up and coming British boxer Tyson Fury reckons he’ll be a bigger success at heavyweight than fellow Brit David Haye. Fury faces Russia’s Daniel Peret at the Norwich Showground, Norwich, in only his third professional fight this Saturday. In an interview on this Thursday’s Steve Bunce Boxing Hour on Setanta Sports News Fury said that Haye stood no chance at heavyweight, calling the Hayemaker a “baby”. He said: “David Haye is a cruiserweight and he’s not a big man. He’s 6’2” and 15 stone. I’m 6’9” and 18 stone, that’s a real heavyweight.

“In a couple of years David Haye won’t stand a chance. That’s if he gets past Klitschko.”

A confident Fury said that Haye would stand no chance if the two were ever to clash in the ring. He added:

“It would be no contest to be honest. I know that’s a bit big headed but I’m improving all the time. So in another couple of years I’ll be at his level. So we’ll see if the fight happens.”

Today Tyson Fury's father has also gone public in saying his son is better than George Foreman. While Tyson himself then backed up his fathers claim by saying he is 5 times better than any current Heavyweight. :-(

In my Opinion Haye would kill Fury. Fury has decent skills and OK power but i would say Haye is just as skilled, faster and what i’ve seen of Fury (which is both of his fights) Haye hits harder too. Fury is a prospect but i haven’t been massively impressed with him to be honest… he’s a big lump but Valuev has proved that size doesn’t mean **** if you can’t move and Fury’s movement is terrible. I won't even go into how wrong his father is with the Foreman comment

when i first heared of "tyson fury" i thought that is a real cool name one a wrestler would make up or something.
i was expecting to see a big muscular guy not some beer belly bum.
he isnt world class imo and i would be shocked if he ever wins a world title.

Fury has decent speed and workrate considering his size. His size will also pose many problems for opponents. He's raw, confident and can fight. Let the man have his cake. My only concern would be if he can't stop someone, can he outwork them for 12 rounds? This remains to be seen but I would imagine he'll go someway in boxing and reach British/Euro level but falling short of the big boys at the top of the division.

Those fightin' Fury's lemme tell ya...

John Fury, imo, is the most intriguing one of the bunch. He was both a professional boxer and bare knuckle fighter in Britain, losing to guys like Henry Akinwande. As far as Tyson Fury goes, with his size and skills and power already, the sky may just be the limit for him. I remember Solis knocking out a guy with 40+ fights in his debut, while this Fury knocked out a 21-3 fighter in his second outing as a pro. He matches himself correctly, he'll be a big star.

BUT.......he's not no Foreman, or even better than half the HW's at the top of the division today, not by a long shot....and forget the Haye talk, if it were to happen tomorrow, Haye would get passed his long reach and chop him down inside of two rounds tops.

I say, have him fight a few guys in the UK, like Gammer, and then test his mettle against Sprott or Skelton or Harrison, and see if he can survive let alone win. He makes it, then by God, we might just have a British Gerry Cooney waiting in the wings to take out Valuev.

Tyson Fury will be knocked out soon, don't worry. Then all the attention will go back to Brian Minto?

He's got more punch variety and considerably better technique than Tye could ever hope for.

better then george foreman? maybe right now seeing as big george is more focused on selling grills then boxing.
he really needs to sort out the belly. i dont see him as world champion material but who knows. he needs to watch his mouth though hes only had three fights!

Tyson fury is very cocky. only seen his last fight so i cant rly say much about him except for :

Hes slow, he leaves himself open and at the mo he would be TKOD by Haye in the 4th round. But hes only had 2 fights so give him some time. hell get better and who knows he may one day beat haye
