David haye didnt manage to change things when he got stopped by tompson a CW

Wilder been knocked down by CW with headgar and gets stopped in the ams

Joshua also got stopped by small CW with headgear in the ams.........

But fury was put down hard very hard straight on the button but he got right back up and found a way to win showed his dog

I thought it was a good win, a good performance.
I didn't rate Fury much at all at the time but that fight showed some of his quality.

I actually put this one on for my girl, who's just started to get into watching boxing with me, last weekend. She hadn't seen Fury do his thing yet, so I wanted to show her one of his 'action' fights as opposed to any of the more recent ones.

I agree that it was an unfairly dismissed win at the time. Tyson got caught acting the big shot, but responded by picking up his high guard, walking Steve down and systematically beating him up. Nobody else has ever nailed Cunningham to the canvas like that, he's always gotten off the deck and done the distance. It was a body shot preceding the knockdown salvo, a right uppercut to the solar plexus if I remember right, that did the real damage and kept him on the canvas.

Darned exciting to watch live, too.

    Lol what. This forum...

Fury knockdown vs a CW and getting up to win = amazing, Fury showed true heart what a warrior

Joshua knockdown vs Wlad = omg Wlad should have finished him, Joshua glass jawed stiff idiot.

    LOL....

Fury having to win by come from behind KO with foul over Cunningham, got valued exactly how it should.

This is baaxing. Anything can happen if you get lax for a split second. I've never really cared about singular knockdowns or thought they were a big big deal, unless it's a consistent thing, like N'Dam or Floyd Patterson levels where it's pretty much every fight. It just comes with the turf of being a fighter. Everyone can be dropped, everyone, doesn't matter how amazing your chin is, if you're lax and someone clips you in the sweet spot, you're off balance, you're not ready for it, etc, you can go down. Some won't ever be and it shows a testament to their concentration, dedication and skill.

Unless there's a clear pattern to it I always take knockdowns as an eh **** happens sometimes. Unless someone like malinaggi knocks you down then you're grade a terrible and should consult a doctor as to why your bones are so brittle and pathetic

He should never have been on the canvas in the first place Fury, I don't credit that with anything other carelessness. He was twice the size of USS

    Wlad should have finished Joshua.

I don't think anyone is saying Fury's win over Cunningham is better than Joshua's win over Wlad.

    Fury's win over Wlad, however...

Its that fight why I think Usyk beats him. I think Fury beats the other giant HW's though, its just that fight shows me his defence is easily penetrated with elite speed and head-movement better than his own., Usyk is a master of this.

Am I the only one who thinks Fury gets a bit over rated on here?

How so? AJ who has been heralded by Sky Sports as the best British HW of all time went life and death with Wald, the same Wlad who Tyson played with, he even had his arms behind his back at times. That performance is underrated if anything.

I don't even know why he is a trending topic on the forum when he is 500 lbs and is inactive.
