Could Tyson Fury who modelled his own style after the previous "Greatest" (Muhammad Ali), do you think he could replace that man and become the greatest himself?

This Saturday he made the p4p #1 and top 5 heavyweight ever look like garbage, I think the potential is certainly there. What are your thoughts on the matter?

I think you're half lying and playing devil's advocate.

As I've said in other threads, I do believe he has the potential to become a great heavyweight , or in other words he's not a flash in the pan. How great? Well I highly doubt he can reach the heights of Ali or Louis. Could he become the next great heavyweight in the manner that Lewis was followed by Vitali was followed by Wladimir? Maybe.

I'll go ahead and say he'll be one of the defining heavyweights of the next generation, and whether he will be the best of that future group remains to be seen.

Do I see "greatest ever" material in Tyson Fury? No.

Nah in a few or more months, Anthony Joshua sparks him.

I'm going to say NO. Even if I had no idea who Fury was, I'd have a 99% chance of being right.

I think in terms of H2H, the argument could already be made that he's the best heavyweight of all time based on that performance.

As for the resume, well there's some way to go but he started off his reign bright, with the defeat of the top 5 ATG heavyweight in Wladimir Klitschko. (top 5 win of all time at the weight)

Soon, he'll come to a clash with the strongest puncher in human history in Deontay Wilder and I project an easy win for him. I think the sky is the limit for "The Furious One".

It is a joke thread, yes. He/she is not happy that Fury will be hyped to high heaven (hyped in a stinky manner - unworthy). They are not a hater, but are trying to extract perspective with this click-bait thread.

Nop. I'm dead serious here, we must address the elephant in the room at some point even if it at the moment it seems a bit preposterous.

What is the elephant in the room - that Fury is taller and bigger than the last crop and wins on pure size?

I don't think Tyson Fury would be kryptonite to smaller heavyweights to the extent Wlad would be, and that his predisposition to fighting a smaller man's fight in such a big frame would put him in trouble against quicker and smaller heavyweights who'd beat him more often than not in the exchanges.

I just want to be realistic. Fury did a great job on Wlad but he has a lot to prove, make no mistake.

It's doubtful that you're being at all serious but — whatever — I'll offer some responses.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at also with him having a lot to prove. We lack evidence.

What elephant? he beat Vlad in an era that is probably the weakest in boxing history. He outpointed Klit who is a robot, it was hardy scintillating or the stuff of legends. Please calm the fuke down. The man hasn't had even one defense and some yokel is already talking GOAT status, clearly the thread starter needs to get a grip.

If people that fight him just follow him around the ring and don't throw punches he will be GREAT. Otherwise .......NO.

I'm not sure if he'll clean out the division or be one of 2 or 3 who will be seen roughly as equals over the next 5-6 years. I'm thinking of Anthony Joshua in particular...

The elephant in the room being that we just might be the witnesses to the greatest heavyweight boxer ever.
