It wouldn't be the first time that a fighter was momentarily knocked unconscious and somehow managed to beat the count, and it won't be the last, either. It shows Fury's willpower to get up from something like that and then have to balls to aggressively take the fight to Deontay when he was that hurt. Even though it was very smart to put Deontay on the backfoot like that and it turned out to be the key to winning the second fight, it still took a lot of bravery to make that adjustment after getting knocked down like that. Jack Reiss would have been fully justified in stopping the fight based on Tyson's immediate reaction and nobody would have complained. But ultimately, he gave him the benefit of the doubt and made the right call. I thought Tyson deserved that decision.
What I found amazing is Wilder couldn't finish him, Deontay is a one punch KO artist, he lacks the techniques of a good finisher though.
He didnt though. As murderous a puncher as Wilder is, Fury is made of better stuff. The upright knee is the giveaway. Concussed but conscious.
Say what you want about Fury outside the ring. By God he has annyoyed me so much in recent times, but the guy is a warrior inside it He had no business getting up to carry on after that punch in the last round. That's some Rocky Balboa type ****
Fury learned from that first fight with Wilder that Roach was correct in what he was saying in the corner and that was to take the fight to Wilder,Davison wanted to win it on points and it nearly cost them but for Furys resilience and recuperative powers . You simply can’t play pittty pat boxing when in with an unconventional puncher like Wilder .
