Baseball is the sport of the Yankees (both the nation and the team), and as the dude in the clip says, it's a metaphor for American life.

Boxing is the sport of the big Gypsy King.

If you're looking for a recent metaphor there...Fury just took a knee.

Fury take a knee don't kid yourself. Literally got up against what will be proven to be the biggest puncher in history in a fashion that no man before him has done. In round 12. After a 3 year layoff and losing 100 pounds over 12 months. Beating Usyk this winter will still pale in comparison.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest feats in recent boxing history .

He came back from the dead and won the remainder of the round, and IMO, the fight.

    But that was then.

He needed to fight Usyk...he got all his demands met, and he still didn't make the fight.

He can still redeem himself, but he needs to do it soon...sometime in 2023.

He certainly has if what Bob claims is true about the $audi’s offering the kind of $cratch he is claiming.
This would explain why Usyk vs Fury has been delayed till November / December per Bob himself.

Fastest way back to that fight for all the titles is if Fury beats Hrgovic next.

Fury will go down as the best HW of his era but with question marks. He has the opportunity to become greater than Lennox if he takes the big fights now. I hope he goes for greatness.

Fury should sack off Arum, he has no business with Fury anymore in till Fury is unbanned from the US.

I don't see any greatness in beating a washed up Joshua in a Mecca circus tent. If Joyce puts away Zhang he is far and away the #1 contender out there. Fury ducking him for a wash up.

He won't, unless he fights and beats Usyk.

Hate to break it to you but Usyk isn't a better or more achieved heavyweight because he beat Anthony Joshua over a distance. I don't need to explain how Fury is.

If Usyk goes out and beats guys like Joyce & Wilder (which he won't) then suddenly he may have a claim but it's still far off.

However Fury & Usyk are intent on fighting one another. There is nothing out there for them but each other unless the Saudi's are interested in Fury fighting Nnganou or even AJ which I hope not.

I would have agreed with you a month ago.

And will again, if Fury beats Usyk.

But if the fight never happens, then AJ is a better scalp than Deontay, and Fury declined the fight with Usyk when it was there to be made.

So it's still up in the air.

Fury has no chance of surpassing LL's achievements, the competition simply isn't out there. I don't think that even beating on AJ, Joyce, Usyk, Ngannou, Thor, Hrgovic and Ruiz would accomplish that task.

I've been a supporter of LL on this forum for well over 10 years.
However, if Fury beats the majority of who you list he's easily equaled what Lewis accomplished. Unfortunately these days top fighters, especially HWs, don't fight each other often enough.
