I agree Fury needs a courage pill . Be a man be a Boxer . Tyson was a man that's Mike . Smaller boxer's have more courage . WHAT HAS FURY GOT , NOTHING without da WILDER REMATCH

Fury accepted a massive payday, which effectively got him out of a big fight.

Wilder refused a massive payday which effectively got him out of a big fight.

    One of these makes sense.

Ortiz - heart patient with a trash record, will never achieve anything

Fury - ex coke addict, re covering beach whale and was a cherry pick by team wilder anyway

Brezeale - obliterated by AJ years ago

    But nice try

A champion fighting a mandatory for millions of dollars is fairly reasonable.

But avoiding a fight with the man who beat you half to death makes more sense.

I’m not taking anything away from Joshua, he’s on a great run and is top dog at HW right now but Ortiz, Fury, Breazeale>>Parker, Povetkin, Miller.

Wilder disgraced boxing by choosing to fight a freakshow scrub named Tyson Fury

dang another Salt Rising 69 thesis paper.

People seem to forget this is a business just as much as it's glory chasing and these boxers will always juggle with both. Fury fought two complete tomato cans before getting in the ring with probably the second best man in the division and drew with him (arguably beating him). How does that tell anyone he's scared of a challenge? This is the same man who beat Wlad after fighting Hammer, Chisora and Abell three fights prior. It's the first fight of his new deal and he'll likely TKO or RTD him pleasing the casuals in the process. No one will care in hindsight when the big fight inevitably gets made.

He can still fight Brezeale for the WBC belt then unification with Joshua next year.

Pro-tip - In five years time, when Fury has retired, he'll be doing after dinner talks and interviews where he spells out that Wilder was easily the hardest hitter he's ever been in with, like Haye does after merely sparring him.

Outside of AJ/Wilder, there isn't a fighter anybody couldn't criticise Fury for. Just go through the rankings. Miller, Pulev, Whyte are tied up either fighting or waiting for mandatories. Parker's team don't want another loss right now. So who does it leave? Otto Wallin? Charr? Fat Pole? Fat Ruiz? Shot Helenius? Old Povetkin? Even older Ortiz? Seriously, go look at the rankings.

People love Fury so much they hold him to different standards! Only two fighters are worthy enough to fight him!

But why should Fury have fought Wilder on Showtime's terms after winning the first fight? And why should he fight AJ for disparaging terms? Be honest, whether people like Fury or not, he's putting himself in a more powerful position so he won't be bullied by team Hearn-J and team Wilderstein. Particularly anybody who hates Hearn-J should be pleased that Fury is making it more and more difficult for them, and a warm up fight or two is a small price to pay for that.

Whats funny too is the relative silence from the majority of fans on him straight ducking the rematch while also not pursuing AJ.

Their pissing on Wilder for not fighting AJ and for fighting DB, while looking the other way on Fury not fighting Wilder and taking an opponent that is actually worse than Breaz lol.
