I think it might be possible he's abusing both simultaneously, the effect of which on his squawkbox could be more than additive.

No it's not. Let's get it right. He beat a washed up Helenius who had looked a shell of himself since returning after being side lined for years due to injuries and promotional problems. This was noted by astute fans of the HW divisions and non-trolls in general. Look no further than his uninspiring performances against the awful Rill and Stark. He's on par with Dimitrenko now.

    Stop. Washington sucks. FULL STOP.

Backing it up against Szpilka, Arreola and Washington yeah. Take Ortiz out of the mix and that's hardly backing up the absolute verbal diarrhea he's spewed. There's a limit on everything. Wilder crosses the threshold of being tolerable and he hasn't done nearly enough in the ring to redeem himself for it. The Ortiz win is a start though! I'll give him that.

He wasn't washed up, he was simply outmatched. That's it. Everyone has uninspiring performances from time to time, means nothing. That includes the Klit bros etc. The man was a tad out of his prime at a good age of 31 when he got knocked out by Duhaupas.

Washington is good, he's no world beater but he's not a bum. Almost no one said he was a bum before that fight, a lot of people said he had good decent chances against Wilder.

Yeah he talked a ton of trash, but that's what you have to do nowadays to get your name out there. I think we already agreed that his lvl of opposition wasn't the best but like I said, he was coming off surgery and needed to get some tune ups in. Hardly something to criticize him for.

Most fighters in the past have taken tune ups.

Still, he's FIGHTING. Fury, is NOT. Whatever Fury says now is IRRELEVANT!!

Fury can say whatever he wants once he gets back in here. As of this moment, he's close to morbidly obese and being a real keyboard warrior.

He's been out for a long time and has been very
abusive to his body. It's one thing to be an Amir
Mansour or Vitali guy who leaves the ring but stays
in shape. Tyson literally did the opposite and fell into
    a state of oblivion

The Tyson Fury of today would probably drop a decision to Takam.

True. He’s admitted cocaine use ... so for anyone to dismiss that as a cause is kinda ignoring the facts.

As said, I’ve known some people who drank at an alcoholic level for literally decades without having vocal problems. I can’t see that being the root cause.

You can chat all you like. Tyson was great, and he could have ruled the division, but you need to face facts, that Tyson is gone. It’s never coming back. He’s a flawed genius. But he’s too self destructive, and he will never be world champion again. Tyson fans need to let it go.
