It's really not healthy gaining and losing that much weight as quickly as that... You have to wonder whether what Fury's put his body through makes him essentially more aged than Usyk.
Definitly but Usyks style ages faster than his. He will still be a huge man that can fight tall end of the day when they are both slowed down. I dislike Fury nowadays but his comeback from that morbidly obese addict on a binge to winning a belt is the best with Foreman's.
Up to a point, yes... I'm not sure this is necessarily true in Fury's case though, perhaps moreso than other big men, because his movement (feet and weaving) are so important. In Usyk's case, ageing means not being able to up the tempo quite as much towards the end of a fight (hasn't needed to much at heavy anyway because they tend to gas more than cruisers) at least to begin with... According to boxrec, Fury has 6" in height and 7" in reach over Usyk... And that's a lot... But... Being a "huge man who can fight tall" kinda works if you possess the power to knock out your opponent - but Fury has never been a murderous puncher and even this more front foot aggressive Fury still doesn't punch crazy hard I don't think... Which might be fine against a second rate dosser with an unproven chin, or a plodding brawler who's recently been sparked clean by a masterful counter he couldn't see coming... But does Fury have the power to blast out Usyk? I doubt it somehow... Question is, if (as I suspect) neither has the power to knock the other out - who's more likely to win on points? Is Fury clever enough, fit enough and sharp enough to beat a grandmaster at his own game? Sure, he has some significant physical advantages, but he's also not been in with a good technical points boxer in a long time - and his massively fluctuating weight adds a further question mark. My default assumption is that Usyk's already beaten by far the most proven fighter in the division post-Wlad (so not including Fury's pre-retirement fights)... The question is, is Fury actually as good as he's currently being hyped up as?
Wow, that is 149.9 lbs. He lost more body weight than a welterweight's total weight. That is wild. At least Francis Ngannou is not going to repeatedly kick Fury in his legs like Antonio Inoki did to Muhammad Ali all those years ago. That screwed up Ali so bad doing that exhibition with Inoki with those strange altered rules. I saw that Mike Tyson was showing Ngannou some moves and I started thinking what he could have learned from demi-god warrior Karl Gotch like Antonio Inoki did. Wow he would have been an even better fighter I think! This content is protected
Wait, I believe that one. Maybe not the weight loss. He can probably make a nice set of luggage with all that loose skin.
It's easy to forget just how big Tyson Fury is. It's almost laughable. The frame on him is ridiculous. He will make Francis who is a massive guy look like a midget and he'll make Usyk look like a child.
