He could always fight aggressively like when he fought Wallin and was cut then late in that fight he basically walked Wallin down and beat him up, same in the Cunningham fight he was struggling with USS's speed and so took the fight inside and used his size and weight to bully him. What Sugar Hill did was simply give Fury a clear strategy to be aggressive from the start rather than use it as something to fall back on. He took the tools Fury already had and refined them, removed habits that would be risky when fighting an aggressive style and kept what would be most effective against Wilder.
Remains to be seen imo. Ite crazy to me how before the fight Wilder is seen as a chinless clown with one good punch that he has to be lucky to land at some point in 12 rounds, to now that Fury beat him, its somehow a testament to Fury being an offensive threat. Wilder is a thin super cruiserweight that relies on having the proper distance to land what is essentially his only real weapon, his right hand. Being a bigger, stronger guy, walking forward and making it a dog fight was always the way to beat him and I said as much during the lead in to their rematch. Being able to walk someone like Wilder down, doesnt signal a genuine arrival of a style that will necessarily be as effective on any other top foes that arent thin, weak super cruisers with one weapon. But that being said... yes, anytime a fighter shows they can fight in another style so proficiently, its a testament to their skills and never hurts to have in the toolbag. I just think it remains to be seen if it can work on any other top tier fighters.
If you think there's a single gypsy man born from their mother who doesn't know how to fight on the front foot and be aggressive you're sorely mistaken. You think we're boxing on the back foot slipping and sliding and employing our gypsy slickness in the world of bareknuckle? Fury would've been versed in the art of fighting on the front foot before he was potty trained. What next? A gypsy woman doesn't know how to bake a hedgehog?
He might actually be the most complete heavyweight boxer of all time. I think he is more skilled than ali. His hands are not as fast but his feet are quicker and his jab is more intelligent. Fury might go down as the GOAT, especially if he beats joshua. Which i think he will easily.
there is absolutely no chance, zero, aint gonna happen, not in our wildest, that he even ever smells the air around goat. its a dream withing a nightmare about a dream.
