I was on the fence about predicting a winner for this fight but after tonight I am confident Wilder knocks him out. Fury looked slow and had no power.

Fury looked like a shadow of his former self. Chagaev KOed Pianeta in round one, but Fury went the distance? He seems slower and less in control than he was against Chisora and Klitschko, despite facing a weaker opponent in poor Pianeta. Kevin Johnson knocked Pianeta out, but Fury was unable to - what does that tell us about Fury?

Wilder will beat him easily this fall.

However, if Fury had waited until this time in 2019 to get back to his 75% of his former capability, with several warm-ups against decent journeymen, I think he'd beat Wilder. But then, Wilder would probably avoid him if he thought Fury were better prepared.

The rush is because his handlers know that he will get off the rails if they gradually build him up........better cash out now or no cash while he either coke binges again or looses against one of the cherry picked no hopers.

    That's very harsh.

How do you know he's not left his drug addiction behind him permanently?

    Reality is always harsh.........

A washed up Mike Tyson came out after a long prison stint , faced a couple of stiffs and waxed them accordingly, then went on to beat the tar out of Bruno while adding a belt.............he was at best 50% what he was before he went in and never got better, as a matter of fact he got worse.

Tyson straight out prison with no training whatsoever would have Ko'ed Pianeta within a round.....let that sink in for a minute.......the Italian is that bad.

I agree he is not there yet but give him credit. Fury is lucky to be alive and boxing is what helped him overcome his drug problem. But Fury is working hard and I hope he gets his belts back.

Tyson Fury was never about looking great. Ive yet to see last nights fight, but apparently he won 10-0, so he couldnt have looked that bad.

pretty sad. omly brits scored it ten nothing. he didn't land one clean punch to the head. nothing telling at least. both jennings and the dimitrenko from tonight would ko both fury and pianeta.

I will watch the fight later, but maybe he was trying lure Wilder into a false sense of confidence? Fury is about 100x smarter than Wilder in the ring. This has not changed just because hes been out for 2.5 years.

I won't be reading a great deal into this, as the Wilder fight is a completely different proposition. Also, I don't see the point of saying X would have knocked this opponent out in round 1. Fury needed the rounds, may have well been the intent to go the distance.

I just watched a 10 minute highlight video, and I saw nothing to justify this thread. He looked just like he always did against fighters of this caliber. He looked like he was treating it as a sparring session - now he was trying to fight with slick defense off the ropes, now he was trying to fight inside, now he was trying to box from the outside. At every point he looked confortable and in control. The most concerning thing for me as a Fury fan was the spare tyre. I'm not saying he will definitely beat Wilder, but he doesn't look much different to me.
