Is it? He's only been that heavy twice and neither fight went the distance. It's true he was mobile enough to avoid Wilder's power shots but Wilder is useless at close range anyway. If he comes in heavy he comes in to get the knockout and I don't see him knocking out Joshua

Not ata ll, it was possible against THAT particular opponenet. Thats the thing with Fury , I would not class him as a great (yet) but two things are going for him, he is adaptable & has heart!
AJ under McKraken , who lets face it was a so-so fighter, trained Froch ,who could hardly be classed a boxer (ward showed us that).
    Back to AJ,
He is a bit wooden & yes can adapt but not at the drop of a hat like Fury. He does not have the same IQ or skill levels of Fury....Plus Fury has proven he is durable , hit clean by Wilder proved that , wonder if AJ could have rose up & taken over the round after that ?
AJ is a power house & has a punch but anyone seriously beelive AJ hits as hard as Wilder ...after AJ's display against Takam I'd say no!
    Fury WIN!
But he would never ever walk down a Big George etc...

Wilder never once in either fight landed flush on Fury - Fury rode the shots. He can't try to maul a technical powerhouse in Joshua, who has compact short shots of course (as opposed to Wilder's 4ft long punches), that would be ludicrous

He couldn't do it to Wallin, but he would do it to ATGs, that's awesome

Fury guard isn`t that high and he was caught by Wilder with some good right hands but rode them well, no way could Fury walk down M.Tyson like that, too hard to hit and a better combo puncher. Ali was much quicker and harder to hit than Wilder and dealt with awesome pressure from Frazier.

Fury has learned more about boxing than McCraken will ever know.

He would have landed far more shots in that one than Haye did.

Ifeel Fury could have walked Lewis down because of Lewis`s lack of head movement plus he didn`t move as quick as Fury does, also Shavers chin couldn`t have taken Fury`s power and Shavers would have missed like Wilder cause he couldn`t box and was n`t as accurate a puncher as Fury, different league.
