I look at Fury, who always struggles with fast small fighters and see the result. Fury never fought someone like Usyk and he can't handle his movements. period.
Doesn't matter if the two fight. Fury is a good choice for Usyks first defence. A fight I think Usyk wins.
It'll be a bizarre fight. Usyk is very quick, but also very small by comparison. Fury can smother him in the clinch and possibly wear him down like he did with wilder, but Usyk will outland him.
Usyk just made his only successful defense. Fury is the best heavyweight in the world and the lineal/WBC champ. Joshua was terrible. On top of that, a public meltdown for the ages. Throwing belts out of the ring. Grabbing the mic from the winner. Stealing his country's flag and almost getting in a tug of war when Usyk wanted it back. Reminded me of Norman Stone running back to the ring and grabbing Ruiz's belt from Valuev after Valuev won it. Except, that night, the Russians nearly beat the hell out of him.
We all knew that retirement talk was BS, at least most of us. Make the Usyk fight and leave no questions unanswered. Do it for boxing.
I agree. I don't like the matchup at all. Stylistically, it doesn't excite me but it is clear that they are the two best heavyweights of this generation.
