...going into the rematch. Wladimir has to be licking his chops. The delay in getting the second fight sorted out has paid some dividends.
Considering Fury is out of shape between all his fights and the first fight was also delayed I doubt anything changes.
Tyson wants to lose, and he's letting himself get into that shape so he'll have a ready made excuse for the fans, then that can set up the rubber match in the trilogy. And then he'll retire a very rich man after the third win or lose.
10 weeks is a long time for an athlete to get into shape. Let's not go overboard until we're 10 days out.
Tyson always baloons up and he's looked worse. Stupid of him tho to let himself go like that I mean it can't be that hard to just take a walk for 30 minutes each day.
Might be Fury's insurance that Wlad won't postpone the match, like he did the first time around. Probably really messes with a fighter to go through all that training, and then suddenly find out you have another month+ to go. Meanwhile, the other fighter was recuperating the whole time. With Fury "so overweight" and with so little time left, Wlad, etc, will be afraid to postpone the match and give Fury the time to burn that fat and come in prepared. I argue this because Fury's overweight, but he's not 50-60 lbs overweight like he keeps saying. I'd say he's really only like 10-15 lbs overweight, and he never really comes in svelte anyway.
He is in perfect shape, the belly is part of the mind games. And he is a hell of a good looking man to boot. He has already destroyed Vlad in the rematch. KO1 in the Manchester press conference, it all goes downhill for Vlad now just like the last time.
Yeah it would not take much effort and a guy that size (6'9 260 pounds) could eat so many calories a day without gaining weight but he must eat a ton of food a day with no exercise to put that much weight on.
Fury balloons up very quickly, and has shown he can lose weight at almost the same ratio. It won't give him a long career though, because a body can only take so much. But he seems to be like Haye in that way, get paid and get out, so he wasn't there for the long run anyway.
