Frank Warren has fumbled, mumbled, spluttered and lost his temper in every talksport interview since this fight was announced. Tyson f#@ks off of social media because of the obvious stick he's getting and leaves Frank to justify the 'event'.
Good point. Him having a go at Catterall was hilirious. Warren expects everyone on talksport to be his PR machine. On the Joshua "no trainer" narrative Warren is going with, funny that he fails to mention Sugar Hill in his own words told the world he was not training Tyson Fury for any potential Usuyk fight in April @ Wembley. Even that isn't enough to stop Warren claiming the Wembley fight broke down because of Usuyk.
Fw said the press conference will be soon - could be next week or following week. Roll on the drama I say. Lots and lots of obscure YT channels are latching on to this Fury vs Ngannou fight. One has some great advice/ideas I should be on the team.
Good point there mate, fury the baddest man on the planet goes into hiding and feeds warren to the wolves! To be fair to warren/Hearn etc I would happily spew garbage all day if I’m getting paid millions, not the hardest days graft for them.
Talksport are full of Sky rejects. Desperate times from them guys & gals. Now you can understand the tone.
Could have sworn that when Frank was asked will the undisputed fight happen next he replied ‘It depends who’s got the belts’.
He did lol. It's very noble of Fury to let Frank take all the flack for this joke 'event' whilst he announces a media blackout until the fight. I can't see a fight with Usyk being made anytime soon with them both being with different Saudi promoters/outfits.
To be fair, that’s what Frank is being paid for I guess. I think he’s struggling with the level of criticism though and knows himself it’s a bit of a farce. As someone else pointed out though, if you’re getting paid well then you’ll be happy to put up with the level of criticism. It’s the same for all promoters.
Talk Sport are useless. There’s 2 absolutely obvious questions. 1) has Warren actually seen Ngannou fight and 2) does he think Ngannou would beat Usyk. I like Frank but you can tell he’s scared of putting his foot in it with Fury. If he came out and said it’s too much money to turn down I’d have a lot more respect.
The fact he says he’s the “hardest puncher in the sport of UFC” says it all. UFC isn’t even a sport. The whole hardest puncher thing came from the UFC training institute thing I think where ngannu set a punch record on a training machine. Warren will be trawling the promenade at Blackpool next, any lads on a stag do which get a high score on a punch machine may find themselves with a good payday coming up.
Looking forward to the day the Fury family leaves boxing Wlad, Wilder and AJ all played their games, but Tyson is far and away THE biggest reason for shitting up the heavyweight division for the past decade 3 boxing fans I work alongside, and I work within a small team at that, have either turned on Tyson or lost interest in him. It's not just one thing, either, it's all of the bollocks put together: no AJ fight, unwanted Chisora fight, Usyk duck, unwanted Ngannou fight + endless bonehead guff on soc-media If you're reading this Tyson: you're a fat conman bellend mate and I fully expect you to top yourself by 50
If he fought twice a year and fought all comers he'd lose at some point, he knows this and that's why he does what he does. Four fights in three and a half years, two of them being a shot Whyte and the corpse of Chisora.
Spot on. 2 of my work mates don’t really follow boxing but know Fury is a compulsive liar. During 2016-18 when Fury was away being a fat cokehead and pretending he had depression the division got moving with unifications, mandatories etc. As soon as he beat Wilder the silly games started again.
