Tyson Fury is making a big mistake, he won't be ready for Wilder in November

Okay.
He didn't believe he'd beat Wlad but somehow won a wide decision.
Now he'll try to cash out against Wilder and end up schooling Deontay.
Then he'll have to cash himself out in a big money mega fight with Joshua and accidentally school Joshua too.

Yes, I feel sorry for his fans. They'll delude themselves into believing winning fights actually means he's good.

 

Fury is a bit of a nutjob. Perhaps his management is thinking they need to go straight for a money fight before he goes off (or in his case on) the rails again.

Think about it, would you gamble on Fury staying fit and focused for 3-4 more fights?

 

You might have made a very good point on Fury it's one of those you never know for sure.

 

Fury will maul him down like he did Cunningham. Wilder is the same size as Cunningham, too small and weak for a guy like Fury.

Other than that, Fury has him beaten in skills, smarts and movement. The only thing Wilder has on him is footspeed, but that advantage will be neglected due to Fury's feints, footwork, reach, balance etc. That will make Wilder cautious especially with his already poor footwork and balance.

Against small and short plodders, Wilder can gamble and get away with his height, reach and athletics, but that feeling of security will be completely gone against Fury.

This fight is easy for all to see. Wilder was not any good to begin with. Everybody knows it.

 

You would think he would want his cashout fight to be with Joshua given that there is so much more money to be made.

 

Bull****, true champs are able to come back and fight, just like Vitali did.

No, please read it again. I'm saying the opposite, that Fury has no intention of doing things Hearn's way and that's one reason he'll be fighting Pianeta at Windsor Park in a couple of weeks.

 

Every time you play the man and not the ball it suggests you aren't capable of addressing the arguments and thus resort to ad hominem attacks as a way of trying to compensate. I guess it's a back handed compliment, but I'd sooner see the arguments addressed than have the personal attacks.

 

I disagree strongly with the post. This is the right move for Fury. Tyson does not have the patience and attention span that George Foreman had in his comeback. This time next year he will have lost interest in boxing again. He needs to go for the top guys NOW. He's not getting any younger. After Pianeta, he will have plenty of time to prepare. He will be in top shape, and I believe he has an excellent chance of winning. Fury is no Sugar Ray Leonard, but if you remember Leonard coming back to fight Hagler after a long layoff, this is similar. It can be done.

I salute Fury and Wilder for making this fight. It's a ballsy move on Tyson's part, and a responsible one on Deontey's.

 

It seems like a mistake to me too.

But then I didn't think he was ready for Wlad either, and yet he schooled Wlad.

I think Wilder is literally the toughest fight he could take right now. Tougher than AJ based on styles. I'd be worried about Fury fighting Wilder at Fury's best, let alone his current condition.

I'd rather he face someone a bit better than ****ing Pianeta before jumping to the very top.

I don't know. Someone like Mansour, Szpilka, Molina, Miller, Breazeale, Duhaupas, Kownacki, Teper, etc.

Well. I don't fully believe they're serious yet. I'd still be surprised if the fight actually materializes.

 

As **** as Wilder is I think Fury is shot.

 

Fury is such a horrible boxer. It’s the strangest thing though....he’s never lost.
