I don't think he needs to be at his best to win this fight. If it was Joshua he was stepping in against, I'd be a bit concerned.

I'm still going with the "Khan Move".

Fury has said a fight between him and AJ will most likely never happen.. Why?

There would be nothing wrong with the money, Hearn has said it would be the biggest all British fight in history, so he would have to pay Fury accordingly and there is no way Fury will get more fighting Wilder.

Well I believe Fury is doing what Khan has done with Brook, Fury can accept getting beaten by an American because he can still claim he is the best in Britain.

Fury has said a few times he is "The man who beat the man" so if Fury gets lamped by Joshua then he is just another British Heavyweight and AJ takes that claim.

So even if Fury beat Wilder then I still don't believe he'd fight AJ.

Wilder will make Fury look like he had an allergic reaction with them windmill punches.

Hard to know what Fury is thinking with this move.

Maybe he is looking better in camp for the Pianeta fight and hoping to surprise Wilder when he shows up in shape and looking close to his old self. If that's the case it's a genius move. Wilder is thinking he's agreed to fight a fat sheep but he's signed to fight a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Or maybe Fury and his people know he'll never be the fighter he was and they can't secure the Joshua fight without at least beating someone half decent first like Hearn wanted and so are cashing out now before they get found out.

I suspect it's the first scenario but with Fury who knows what's going on in that head of his.

I'd have more confidence that Fury was taking the correct course if he were still being guided by his uncle. Peter was the calming hand to Tyson's erraticism, and I very much doubt he'd be on board with going into the Wilder fight so soon.

It's funny that people were criticizing him for taking on Seferi and using his own words against him after he said he would like to emulate Ali and come back and fight either Wilder or Jenner straight away.

Now he's actually standing by his words, He's getting accused of wanting to cash out or it's to feed a drug habit.

    He can't win.

The Hearnanites are definitely scrambling to find a narrative to hold on to until massa Eddie releases the official one to Kugan on IFL film for them to parrot. You can't discredit this huge HW showdown between the true champions of the division who have taken this fight simply for legacy

These are some of the reasons that I've heard so far regarding why this fight is happening -

    1. Fury wants to avoid the money fight with Bellew bt
    2. It's last cash out harray
    3. To feed Drug Habit
    4. He's lying about the fight

    For Wilder it's because

    1. Fury is apparently overweight, drug addicted zombie and doesn't know how to fight anymore
    2. To avoid AJ
    3. Because he doesn't want to fight AJ.
    4. To obtain stronger negotiating power
    5. It's a stunt to keep their names in the media.
