This, it's pretty obvious. Why even argue? He was going on about the "battle of britain" with him and David Haye on twitter today. And in the past he's even tweeted he's bringing the heavyweight title back to England, first since Lennox Lewis. He represents both, and he's one of my favorite fighters. :thumbsup https://twitter.com/Tyson_Fury/status/285163166839754752 In case anyone asks, first result from a google search.
This i never knew if so then he is a **** to but did he whine and moan then start accussing others of being racist
Indeed. For example, between 1980 and 1990 16.9 million fewer people in the United States identified their ancestry as English. The genocide of the Anglo-Americans is the biggest war crime of the 20th century. Either that or you don't pay much attention to what an American says his ancestry is.
Or you could say he was just another sportsman doing what was right for his career. It is not something that I find palatable, but the pragmatist in me acknowledges that people have the right to make the most of their careers.
Ireland is only 6 million because so many people left it was 8 million in 1840 and because of waves of immigration over the generstions intead of growing to maybe 60 million it infact reduced to 5 million very rare occurance for a por natioon with a huge birthrate 88million people claim irish heritage
'Tribal identity'? Please. There's no difference between the peoples of the British Isles; citing Weaving as an analogy is specious: Nigerians and Britons are racially distinct - the Irish and English aren't. Nobody would even be discussing their 'heritage' if it wasn't for them making such pronounced statements or adoring themselves with Irish emblems and symbols. Ultimately, does anybody really give a crap? No, we don't - because we're fully cognizant of the reasons why they're doing it and why they say it: to leverage has much cash as they can specifically in the American market. What irks people to a certain extent, however, is how shallow and vacuous the entire gesture is; it's so patently clear why they're doing it - trying to assume for themselves an entirely separate nationality for the sake of embedding their careers in the plastic paddy brigade in the States seems to outside observers as pretty hollow. But each to their own - what you can't fob people off with, however, is all this rubbish about 'roots'; 'heritage'; 'bloodlines' blah blah blah - meaningless gibberish when it comes to the British Isles.
**** me, I hate these threads, fastest way to get a bunch of British/Irish to start crying like women is to make a thread where a Brit fighter makes a claim to his Irish heritage. I don't consider Fury Irish, but if he wants to big up his roots, let him off i say. Ill support home because he's a likable ****er imo. Whinging and moaning isnt going to do **** all to change things lads! Ive seen enough of these type of threads about Macklin to know that this is going nowhere:good
Christ Almighty, 'Brits' don't give a second thought to Ireland or the Irish - it's an utter irrelevance. To the same degree, the Irish don't 'hate' the English (as someone else intimated here). It's a complete irrelevance.
Might as well call them 'ethnically British' and be done with it. There's no dissimilarity between anybody of the British Isles at all. All this talk of bloodlines and ethnicity as it relates to the British Isles is nauseating - it's the romantic gibberish of a bygone era.
He and Macklin should pop out a baby or two together, which is possible these days, I read in the Sun.
To clarify a few points, Rogan is Irish, Frampton is British and Furys Mother is from Nutts Corner on the outskirts of Belfast. I'm from Northern Ireland myself, having a right giggle at this thread, nuts!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na6tzbX8kpg Here he states that he relates most to Manchester, dont see what the problem is wants to build a fan base in Ireland and England.
