I was disappointed by Cunninghams' words after the fight, he knew what he was getting into the ring with and all that came with it (albeit the kd was set up a tad illegally). Fury is a big heavyweight, nobody his size is going to be dancing on twinkle toes, perhaps if he was 5 inches shorter his balance would look better and he'd appear to have a more refined skill set. Hughie looks like he possibly is a more aesthetically pleasing giant. Tyson chooses not to rely on his height too often, its entertaining to watch but he could choose to stick behind that jab stealing rounds, thankfully he engages and occasionally gets put on his arse for his troubles:happy
A lot of big heavy weights tend to be wooden,eg Mr Bruno. What makes Fury and Price interesting is that they appear to have some athletic ability and speed.
Yeah I found Cunninghams words sour afterwards as well. Complaining about how he's 6'3 & Tyson is huge, he clearly knew all this beforehand so why take the fight... Excuses.
I will be backing David Haye if he ever fights Tyson Fury. But lets make one thing clear..? Tyson Fury can fight. People on this thread having been talking nonsense. Tyson Fury out of all the super-heavyweights, has shown a ability to ether box from long range or..? Fight in the inside like Riddick Bowe! His fight against USS, was a complete and utter job! And it was a immense performance! You get allot of Superheavyweight's who think they can become world class by just staying behind a jab, throwing straight punches and then..? spoiling in the inside. Tyson Fury can fight! Make no doubt about it! I think Tyson Fury & David Haye both do a job on ether Kiltschko.
Tyson Fury is only good because he's big. Which is pretty much like saying a particular woman only wins a beauty contest because she's good looking. I've heard this line about Tyson Fury a lot and it's absolutely ridiculous. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thats a really **** comparison, doesnt work!
It is true to a degree but then if he was smaller he would be faster, more co-ordinated, have better balance, agility, stamina etc Being big is an advantage if you make it so. In fairness to Fury, who has a breakable chin, he gives the small guys a big chance when he attempts to trade.
I did say some athletic ability and speed........which many of the very big heavyweights seem to lack.......unfortunately they all seem a bit chinny..but at least Tyson gets up....so far!The K,s and and many Eastern European heavies often robotic.......if they can win titles can,t see why Fury and Price can't do the same.
