I for one hope he comes back and destroys his next opponent after all this . Heavyweight boxing is a boring place without him and I'd love to see him silence all the haters.
I like Fury but these "haters" do have a point. Fury agreed to a late substitute, Fury agreed to Ustinov, Fury takes the time to weigh in, Fury looks at Ustinov at the weigh in and sees he is in good shape and then it all goes down hill... Fury starts to complain that Ustinov has been training for 8 weeks, Fury says "I'm being stitched up" and then pulls out the fight. Like many others on here I wish Fury's Uncle the best but so many fighters have fought (and won) with massive distractions outside the ring. Fighters have lost parents, loved ones and had other distractions like a wife/girlfriend giving birth. Sorry but after the abuse Fury dished out to Haye and Chisora for pulling out of fights with genuine injuries Fury is going to be questioned, criticized and abused.
http://www.sportlism.com/more/tyson...arriage-before-postponed-bout-says-his-uncle/ if this is true, then i think i can understand why he pulled out
What was questionable? The cut or the surgery? Just have to say I'm not defending Haye I dislike the man with a passion these days.
Like I said I'm not questioning distractions, very sad or unfortunate circumstances, things happen in the sport of professional boxing all the time and like the vast majority on here I hope Tyson and all his family are in good health and happy. My point was, many fighters have fought (and won) with huge distractions. I suppose the one that sticks in my mind is Buster Douglas who's mother died 3 weeks before he fought the undefeated Mike Tyson.
Not a fan or a hater but was disappointed when fury pulled out after agreeing to fight the sub fighter
They should give as much respect to others as they are asking for. atsch Everyone I speak to watches his fights just to see him finally get sparked. I'm not a hater, find him hugely entertaining sometimes and pathetically childish others (I guess he's growing up in public), but can't wait to see what happens when he steps in with a live one.
My opinion is the cut was manufactured . He did not seem up for it mentally prior to the first fight at all. The shoulder was an injury Haye would have known about before agreeing to the 2nd fight , I think he just used it as an excuse because his bottle had gone.
Interesting... I do not agree but you're entitled to your opinion Would Fury have known his Uncle was seriously ill before agreeing to fight Ustinov?
