Didn't know they fought twice, but fury was offered 125000 by Maloney before it went to purse bids. Not a lot for a risky fight. At the end of day he took the haye fight twice and that was just as risky maybe more so than the price fight. No one want to give fury any credit for that. It was Haye who pulled out twice not Tyson.
doesn't change the fact he vacated before purse bids. and as it stands, fury has achieved nowhere near what haye did, yet you whine about fury getting no credit while denying haye any.
I still believe there was more to it when David Haye pulled out against Tyson Fury, but I also believe Fury bottled it with Ustinov. I don't doubt that his uncle is unwell, but I just found the timing of it very convenient for Fury especially just before he pulled out he came out with stuff like "I'm being stitched up, he's been in training for me and he's in shape and here to do the business". atsch I also thought Peter Fury's statement after the backlash of Tyson receiving criticism was out of order especially when he was the one starting all the rumours about David Haye. Peter says Tyson's wife had a miscarriage (no ones business, but thanks for sharing) and then at the same time goes on to slate Ustinov for being limited all while his Brother is meant to be lying in his sick bed. Very bad taste IMO. I'm sure if Frank ****** had got a lesser opponent for Fury then he would have fought on no doubt and then after the fight he would have went onto say how he is a fighting man, anywhere, anytime, no matter what. Family only comes first when it suits these people. :-( Frank Maloney was right all along 'Chicken Fury' Big f*cking shithouse!!!
I know what your saying, but hasn't boxing just turned into a risk / reward equation. Forget a fans point of view if you was managing Fury and the reward wasn't brillant but the risk was very real what would you do? This business is about money pure and simple. The theory gets proven when Fury takes the Haye fight....£5m is enough reward to take the risk of getting beat. Haye would have been a much harder fight then robot price
:thumbsup Excellent post!! The word was that David Haye got badly ko'd in sparring (or "Gassed" as one highly respected trainer called it...as David was apparently given oxygen!!) and following this event, Haye was strongly advised to retire, which is why he underwent shoulder surgery. With regards Fury, most people know that Fury was kicked out of Brian Hughes' gym due to Fury's unprofessional family sticking their oar in! Brian liked Tyson (Brian considered him a big kid who hadn't grown up) and at the time, B Hughes MBE considered Fury to be a genuine prospect, but "Team Fury" became too much hassle to deal with!! So Peter the Pikey's unprofessional conduct and unbelievable bull**** should come as no surprise!! If one is stupid, one does not realise how smart other people are...it is why one is in fact stupid!!! I mean, seriously, are we expected to take as gospel Pete The Liar's claim that a day or so before the fight and almost immediately following Fury's abject attempt at intimidating an in-shape Ustinov at the weigh in (immediately following which Ustinov advised Krussyak that Fury "was not confident, I think there may be a problem") Fury's Uncle is rushed to hospital (that he was already in) AND Tyson's Wife miscarried? FFS!!! Why even mention the miscarriage ffs?? If that were true (and I do sympathise with anyone who has endured such a tragedy) I would want to smash someone up!! To be able to do that AND get paid would be great!! If all what Peter said was true, why the **** do they feel the need to defend themselves?? Why give two ****s what anyone said? Simply reschedule a Ustinov fight, to be held wherever Ustinov suggested! Why now go after a Chisora fight when you vowed never to fight DelBoy after he broke his hand? There has still been no independent updates on Uncle Hughie either!! Tyson Fury is a SHITHOUSE!!
Just cause he got stopped by Thompson (Haye was actually winning the fight till he tired) that means he cut his brow (a big cut too) just to avoid a fight with a big pay day and another title shot? Notable wins? Have you forgotten about (or did you even know about) his career before he was a Heavyweight?
