I don't think most Fury supporters are just 'patriotic Brits'.

The traveller community make a point of saying how they aren't british. This doesn't bother me as I couldn't give a **** what nationality people identify with but it hardly appeals to the man down the pub cheering on his countryman ala Hatton.

My only problem with Fury until recently was that I don't think he's very good. Now there is also the hypocrisy with his 'fighting man' bull**** being exposed.

 

the only good men in the heavyweight division are eastern european. klitchko,pulev and povetkin. the rest i dont rate anywhere. i think fury beats the americans up wilder and stiverne and jennings. He also has a fan friendly style but heavyweight boxing is never on the same skill level off middleweight or welterweight boxing. so you got to appreciate a big man who is coordinated powerful and with heart. Its like the supreme boxing athlete even if the skill level isnt there. Fury is a decent enough of boxer, underated power and good heart. that can be enough in this day and age to win a title in the hw division. if he was completely terrible like dallas or big larry then you can ridicule him all he likes with that mouth.
