First time I have heard this interview. It must have been taking a few years back as they are saying Joshua is a 20year old amateur. By God, Tyson has changed his tune since. He goes on as if Joshua is nothing special but was saying this a few years prior.. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q1EebWyAu70
You missed the part where he says sparring isn't a real fight. He never claims he was beat up. He claims joshua was very good and he hit him with a shot that would have "put price out for months". In sparring sometimes you get hit. That's kind of the point of sparring, you know, to find where your weaknesses are. Fury also said to watch out for him and that he was a very good prospect. Now that Joshua isbmore recognized of course he will want to change tune. It would only build up a potential superfight (UK) later on. All I've ever seen from fury is good promotion and a mayweather like understand ing of the way a promotion based event actually works. OP stop manipulating the people.
I think u need to watch the full video. He certainly did say he was beat up. So please... "Stop manipulating the people."
I think the interview is from 2010. Fury has since claimed that prior to 2012 he (Fury) was actually just a bum.
In all fairness Fury and Joshua are about the same age, and Fury hasn't been boxing much longer than Joshua, but I do think Joshua will probably beat him and even probably do it by KO if they fight.
yeah, early 2010 Fury was coming of a blatant gift against McD and looked like he was going nowhere. Never expected him to even make it to contender level at the time.
Fury was simply being honest about Joshua and his gifts. Fury brags in the interview about how he's a "top prospect" so if AJ is doing so well against him then AJ must really be something special.
AJ yes but Fury? climbed the ladder up by ducking every single challenge :good AJ beat him in sparing, Wlad will do on 28th at fightnight, I PROMISE you CryInTheHood :bbb
Other than the career high payday no reason really. Other than Ustinov under odd circumstances I can't think of Fury avoiding someone (though he hasn't exactly fought a murderers row of opponents).
