Also, I've nothing against the lad but he's talking like this after 3(?) fights and getting a pat on the back from some of the same people who used to think Amir Khan was an arrogant gobshite!:D

I'm actually really surprised with Tyson's humility.

Read between the lines. He's blasting all his heavyweight rivals, yet he still believes he has to "do things right" and "work his way up" to earn a British title shot.

So he was restricted to either calling him great or calling him rubbish? He merely should have tempered the remark, he didn't have to make out Paret was the next comng of Ali.

All I'm saying is you don't use the phrase "with the greatest respect" and then call someone "rubbish"....;O)

At 5-0 he cant really claim anything else.

Obviously Audley did but them were dark days.

Whatever you think fo Fury persoanlly, at least he comes in and throws punches. He doesn't seem hesitant, he doesn't seem in awe - he goes out, works his jab, gives himself space, goes to the body if he can't get the head.

Sure, he lacks power but he at least has a good attitude.

He's done the same as his rivals to earn his title shot. He's calling them all rubbish and useless.

But he still wants to work his way up.

He's almost inferring that despite them being ****, fat, slappers and huggers that he is STILL BELOW them. He's actually underselling himself in the current landscape.

Its funny how quickly the goalposts on what constitutes arrogance and being disrepectful to other boxers can move just to fit in with an individuals personnal opinion of a boxer....;)

I don't have much of an opinion on Fury, I don't see him doing anything great.

It's just I was painted this picture of him being arrogant, by this forum. Yet its clearly not true. He calls guys slappers, boring, says they've done nothing etc, yet still believes he needs to prove himself against them to earn his shot as if he's not yet surpassed their status. I don't know whether he's a fountain of humility or purely stupid after reading this.

It's refreshing that someone would be so honest and not just big himself up........He's still a **** though!

I like the fact that he's around. The mere fact that we're talking about the heavyweight division at all outside of the Haye v Klit fight means he's made an impact. And for that he's valuable to the sport.

I just think alot of what he says is annoying and I think he's lacking in big parts of his game. Yes it's early in his career, but he doesnt fill me with excitement. Hope he turns out to be a great HW. Just cant see it myself. And I find him annoying.

I'd rather see Pricey progress but maybe that's hometown bias.

Pricey is a Glass Jawed joke. Fury said it himself.

To be fair you could probably write quite a lot on Fury's big toe :rofl

However, he's basically telling the truth, and for a 5-fight prospect, he must be good to be favouring him in fights over the likes of Williams and McDermott (which I would)

In the next year he can develop well, and I genuinely think he has all the tools to be a success. I can't understand how anyone can hate on him, sure he might not be the most powerful fighter in the World, but he has good handspeed and is very, very big.

He's willing to fight pretty much anyone and is fighting regularly. Fair play to him.

Also, Chisora doesn't deserve a shot at Williams. Fury would batter Chisora, if Del Boy really wants a shot he and Fury should fight first.

    We'll see.

Seemed to take that free shot pretty well when he dropped his gummy.
