I remember, but it was the very beginning of the training camp; now he's had weeks of intense training.
I think Fury stops him, if he wants to. If he wants to do the rounds and win on points he does that Chisora had a decent performance against Helenius and Vitali(although Im not sure how much Vitali had left at that point) Its mentioned once, but Chisora strikes me as a decent HW, when he can be bothered but no threat to any fighter with high aspirations. He steps up- he gets beat usually
Chisora had had his 15 minutes. He was pretty hurt in the last 2 fights against European level journeymen. Yes Cunningham was a cruiser but he is a genuine heavy. Show me another fighter that looks that ripped at heavy? 210lb not an ounce of fat. The most impressive physique at heavy. Should Stiverne and Arreola get down to his body fat percentage they would be even lighter! Does no one remember the old saying that any man over 200lb can hurt you? Has no one thought if Cunningham can look in such fantastic shape at 210lb maybe he was weakening himself to get under 200lb? As for keeping away from Stiverne... Most people dont realise he already has a loss. Against Demetrice King by stoppage! Demetrice King was used as an opponent for Tua a few years ago so Tua could get a win! He was also held to a draw by Charles Davis.... He didnt want to avenge either. Stiverne is a heavyweight version of Berto. Easy to hit. Chisora will do well to win his next fight. Its a real banana skin. Kevin Jihnson had a 10 rounder on 20th of December and then went straight in to training camp with Szpilka for a few weeks helping him spar, with Fres Oquendo. Hes probably had 2 weeks at the most out of training before getting 3 weeks notice to fight Chisora. Chisoras trainer has already said they are concerned with booing from the crowd because of Johnsons style. Chisoras style was already tailor made for Johnson to counter, being in his face more will only give Jhnson more opportunities and this will be an active, sharp Johnson.
Cunningham thought he could put in a performance like Haye did against Valuev and found himself sorely mistaken. It's not surprising that Fury was out-boxed for a long period by a smaller, faster fighter. What is surprising for some, and something that Fury isn't given credit for is that Fury's engine was better than Cunningham's and what turned the fight was simply that Fury was fitter and ultimately faster and harder than Cunningham. Viewing that fight objectively there are some serious positives for Tyson, not just negatives.
