Continuing on from the last thread.... Why was the last thread deleted? Boxing journalism is part of the sport; how can it be off-topic?
That presenter should have gotten way more stick for using that term As for the media storm, find Greg Rutherford threatening to pull out as hilarious, almost as much as the petition starter who said he was a fan since Muhammed Ali, despite him saying arguably much worse than fury about mixed race marriages and calling foreman an Uncle Tom, but that doesn't affect him
I love the irony of Auntie being the self proclaimed moral saviours of the nation. The same organisation that failed to out the long list of reprobates that were on the payroll. Hilarious.
Should those who support Fury's opinion why are the newspapers not allowed to express theirs? This double standard is laughable.atsch
Clive Myrie....no words. Sucking up to the lefties and the PC brigade. News reporters, particularly for the BBC, should be objective and impartial. It is boring me now. Tyson has explained himself several times, yet no-one seems to care and just refers back to the old story. Perhaps they need to watch the lengthy IFL TV videos, as he always comes across well and explains himself better in those. Granted, I don't agree with his views, but he is entitled to them and the fuss that is being kicked up is disgraceful. Same old ****e. Insecure people and those with a chip on their shoulder just want to be the victim. They should get a grip and just get on with their lives.
Muhammad Ali was racist and did many insensitive things for publicity. David Haye has made jokes about gang **** and started press conference fights. The list is endless really but because Fury is white skinned and a Christian in this day and age you're not allowed an opinion while the Guardian champions Haye and Ali. Unless you sound like a corporate vetted yes man or a left wing activist you can't be white and successful. I personally have no interest SPOTY but I hope Fury wins it now and may vote for him out of protest.
Correct me if I am wrong on any of this. I've not followed it too closely. Before he won World Title Fury said the following: He disagrees with gay marriage (loads of people do including entire religions don't they?) He disagrees with abortion (loads of people do including entire religions don't they) He disagrees with paedophilia (no argument) He thinks wives belong in the kitchen and on their backs (fair enough - that's what he wants in his women that's upto him) And that's caused 100,000 plus people to start a petition to stop him being in sports personality and caused a BBC reporter to call him a "dxckhead" And if I am right when asked what he thought about the people who have signed the petition he's called them "wxnkers" I think! Which shows why he needs some media training!! And none of the people signing the petition gave a shxt about a word he said until he became world champion - now the media and the do gooders go searching for stuff about him They should find something better to do
Like the guy above I would vote for Fury out of protest for the people trying to stop me having a choice to vote for him
Is it any wonder that the British press is reviled across the world? The campaign against Fury is a witch hunt, simple as that. Can you imagine what Oliver Holt would do if Fury said his next fight would be as one-sided as a gang ****? Or smashed a bottle over another fighters head and thumped his trainer? The maggot would spontaneously combust out of indignation.
A few similar threads have been deleted and i am not sure why. They pertain to Fury who is a boxer. The threads, whilst talking about sensitive issues, didn't degrade into childish arguments and name calling like most threads do on this site so i really don't see any issue with them. I do find it humorously ironic that these discussions often talk about free speech and then the mods go and delete them.
To be fair, Haye was given a lot of grief in the press for yhese antics. Some were calling for him to be banned for life.
What a disgusting messed up world we live in where somebody speaks out for what is morally right and gets vilified by the gutter press. Nothing Fury said was wrong and would only be offensive to the warps and mentally diseased who he correctly targeted(not that he went out his way to)
I cant understand the problem that these people have with Tyson. If anything I would strongly consider them racist, not because of anything they said to him but Abortion and Gay marriage, whilst accepted in this country, are strongly frowned upon in many other nations and other religions. His opinions on women are in my opinion wrong, but its an opinion, he clearly treats his wife well and people always say actions peak louder than words. There are many people who have commit crimes, unlike Tyson, and they still receive all these accolades in and out of their sport, why should someone who to my knowledge has no criminal record be treated worse than them?
