I don’t think so at all Wlad was always vulnerable to the right opponent which AJ is. Furthermore the Wlad that AJ faced was a better version than the one who fiddled away his title to Fury both victories which I accurately predicted. In fact I felt Wlad might have won the rematch against Fury had he not ducked him and went MIA.
The whole point of this thread is speculation on an alternative history. And CST is right, an earlier Waldo not out of the ring for 2 years would have finished what he started in the 6th.
It's not such a difficult topic. If she is uninteresting, boring...I understand that. Alternate boxing history, if not earlier, begins on 28th XI 2015. Tyson Fury did not challenge and beat Wladimir Klitschko on the 28th XI of 2015, then he did not retire, so the belts he took from Wladimir Klitschko were not divided by heavyweight. P.S. there was no supermatch Charles Martin vs Vyacheslav Glazkov for the IBF belt (among other things)
His trainer Malik Scott did. Deontay was in one of the vids but IIRC it was just a training vid for Fury 3. Still might get a...different kind of vid in the future tho. After all Deyonce known to like twerking^^
You seem to forget that Fury outpointed an old Klitschko so if you want to use that argument against the version AJ faced which was more motivated then the argument works both ways.
Maybe the Wilder AJ fight takes place some time between 2019 and 2020. Or maybe not. It doesn’t really matter though because either way Usyk still ends up on top.
AJ’s career probably looks exactly the same. Wilder would’ve still avoided any serious threats and continued taking on more and more bums. Meanwhile, Usyk takes on mandatories.
This. Wilder swerved Joshua for what he thought was an easy name in Fury. Fat and coming back from a decent time away. So instead of Usyk v Fury not getting signed right now it'd be Usyk v Wilder not getting signed.
I feel like regardless of Fury, Wilder would've eventually been victim to a cherry pick gone wrong. I could see him picking someone like Zhang or Bakole thinking they'd be an easy win, getting careless while going for a KO and getting knocked out himself.
Wlad breaks Louis title defense record after a brutal 6th round KO over Joshua, fulfilling the USB drive prophecy. Wlad retires in 2019 as champion having chased a Wilder unification for the better part of 4 years. Belts get fragmented. Usyk collects the IBF, WBA and WBO by 2020 with victories over vacant title holders Ruiz and a resurgent Joshua. Usyk overcomes 3 knockdowns to become undisputed champion with a points win over Wilder.
Honestly, this is the most likely outcome. He came within a ball hair of beating AJ; just had to step on the gas and didn't do it. Wilder wouldn't have a chance against a jab meister like Wlad. By the time Usyk fights Wlad, Klitschko has slowed down even more and has no answer to that footwork. Also, AJ and Wilder would get dismissed as bums by the usual suspects.
If Wladimir had beaten AJ and Wilder at 40+, he would've sky rocketed up quite a few places in my ATG Heavyweight list.
