Tyson fury next opponent??

Thought it was dimitrenko/sprott for the european on 24th?

 

Isn't one fight for the EU title and one for the European title (which has more history and a wider pool of countries who can fight for it)? I think the European title is worthwhile, whereas the EU title is more at the WBF/IBU etc level...

I really hope it is not Sexton, if he was going to go anywhere internationally he would have done it by now, so if we want to progress Fury towards world level he isn't the right opponent. And as other posters have said, Sexton would come in out of shape so would have a ready-made excuse following a loss, anyway.

Would like to see Perez, too much emphasis is placed on waiting around until feeling comfortable at the level, these days. Fury is the British and Commonwealth champion, he shouldn't fear the Perez-level fighters, he should be mixing it at that level with confidence. I think he would want the fight, too, just hope his team let him.

 

There is about 4 European titles though, Pala, Pulev, Dimitrenko and someone else I think holds one.

 

dimitrenko holds the real title, regardless of what the rest hold

 

I think Perez would run through him

 

I guess Coleman Barret is the frontrunner for this fight.

I thought Wembley was more than half full and of those tickets, I'd say Fury sold 95%. Chisora, though making the fight meaningful, actually accounted for about 7 tickets I would suggest.

Fury is a ticket seller I think, not massive yet but heading in the right direction.

After Chisora, anyone semi-credible, would still be good work. I've suggested Sexton before because he's known to have beat Rogie twice but his inactivity hurts him obviously.

ROGIE was the right choice but he's turned down £50k which is strikes me as good money from his current standing and he'd presume to believe he could win and make good money from the belts in a rematch or fighting Audley or Chisora down the line.

 

I don't think rogan likes the idea being stuck on the end of fury's jab for 12 rounds.

 

what about sprott or Skelton they are both names on the british scene.

This particulart card doesn't even need Fury, never mind a well matched opponent. McCloskey - Prescott and Frampton - Martinez will be sufficient to sell tickets

Will, the McCloskey bill is on the 10th in the Odessey. Fury is headlining at the Kings Hall on the 17th
